World Men's Curling Championship starts today in Las Vegas! Schedule is HERE! In Canada it's on TSN and in the US it's on something called the Olympic Channel with a few games on NBCSN. Some games are also available on the World Curling Federation's Youtube page. Returning teams from the Olympics are Korea, Italy, and Sweden. No John Shuster although I'm sure he'll be there signing autographs. My man Brad Gushue is ready to kick some rear end!

Uh yeah that was a hell of a shot! He even got a high five from the American lead! Nice shot from the American to win the game in the extra too. As a side note, Hammy McMillan Jr might be the funniest name I've heard in a long time.

So, I guess it was pretty much standard US play  Aoki made an almost identical shot again today against Sweden.

USA opened the game against Norway by giving up a steal of 2, but they tied it up and have now stolen a point in two ends to lead 3-2. That's a cool turnaround. Canada may be 3-1 but Gushue is not curling well and not reading the ice well. They'll probably make the playoffs but barely beating Russia and Italy does not inspire a lot of confidence.
