Is this what it feels like to watch the NBA, is to watch a bunch of basketball but know that some monstrosity will win it at the end of the season through the magic of math? Hell of a feeling man. Also, Virginia lost to a 16 seed. Discuss.

I have a 40-something co-worker who's a huge UVA fan and is, like, actually depressed about the loss I spent 20 minutes the other day trying to help him talk through it, I actually feel bad for him Kinda feels like this is something that'll gently caress that program mentally for a while

No one in America gives a gently caress about the English Championship in soccer or the Frozen Four in hockey or lots of other things. Sports need a lot of history and high level play for anyone to care about them. It is what it is

Kevin Knox's dad has said that the family isn't in need financially, and a decision regarding the NBA is most likely coming this week. He's all-in either way, there will be no declaring without an agent to test the water, it's either come back or leave and sign with an agency immediately. He'd be an absolute unguardable beast if he returned, but I'm guessing he gone.

Some other people in the thread were saying next years class is kind of weak. So he could maybe go higher next year and get more money. I’m not going to do the opportunity cost calculation but I imagine he will.

Here's a hilariously early top 25 for next year. I'm posting because I was surprised at their accurate research. It has a convenient list of who is making a draft decision and who is gone and who is coming in. http://www.sportingnews.com/amp/nca...impression=true yes I am posting because my team is #1

Though while, yes, they are part of the problem (lack of parity kills interesting storylines), it makes me sad to watch the women's sports and realize that I'm probably in a small subset who gives a poo poo about them. Like the Women's Frozen Four this year had three OT thrillers. All three games went to OT! How is that not awesome? But no one cares

I'm digging the fact that ESPN thinks Butler will be in the Top 25 mix next year after we lost our best scorer. Hopefully the Duke transfer will pan out.

There is still a pretty huge gap between the top tier of teams and everyone else. Parity has increased in the sense that the rest of the top tier can now occasionally beat UConn

I like how one of the reasons they have Wisconsin at #15 is: "With the addition of talent (No. 59 recruiting class) coming in, expect the Badgers back in the dance." Yes, those warm bodies (currently the 11th rated class in the B10) are going to get Wisconsin back to the tournament lol
