So I downloaded this again after I heard Mew was coming and just did my first raid. It was pretty fun! Other people joined, I was just intending to lose twice to cheese the quest requirement. Good stuff

People in my raid group are pretty upfront about raiding in their car. Usually they'll be like "feeling antisocial today, raiding from my car." Gotta love that PNW passive aggressive honesty.

Heh, raiding from cars is not really a thing here as most popular gyms in Amsterdam can't be reached by car and most people don't have one. But if someone is being difficult the best thing to do is to just proceed as if they do not exist and make private groups according to the number of cooperative people that are there, it saves a lot of hassle and you don't need to feel bad for people who are being difficult. They can group with the spoofers.

Yeah this. I get that people may be shy or antisocial and I'm not frowning on that at all, but especially at times like now when a new legendary is introduced and we're trying to organize a lot of people by teams and people sitting in cars just stuff themselves into a group they don't belong in and some people on the right team can't get in, that's when I take issue. Like, if there isn't enough to fill a group of 20 Valor, sure, join them if you don't care about getting team bonuses for more balls in the end. But when people of the wrong team refuse to get out and coordinate, then I like it when the group wises up and makes a private group. It doesn't take much to be a considerate player even if you don't want to talk to anyone. No one even really requires you to speak most of the time. Just raise your hand if you're the team that's being organized or just shuffle over to the right corner where your team is going.

The game isn't popular enough anymore where I live to be in a situation where you could fill an entire lobby with players from each team so you take what you can get. A guy rolling up in a car with two phones and jumping in is great. I can't even do them most of the time because they're all over with once I'm out of work and actually have time to play.

I got a 84% Mew. It had Bug Buzz and Thunder. Being stupid I tried a fast TM on it and it now has Signal Beam Thunder. A double electric Mew. This makes me strangely happy. I am totally going to use it when the legendary birds or Suicune come back again. Getting Mew was pretty fun and felt like just the right amount of challenge for me. Though part of that was that I already had over 800 Magikarp candies just in case I ever get a Shiny. Otherwise that mission probably would've bummed me out. Throwing the excellent ball and getting the ghosts were probably the most difficult for me.

Just finished ghostbusting! The park near my house is currently a Misdreavus nest, and it’s currently foggy, so it was pretty easy. Nothing like wandering the park at night to make you feel creepy, though...

I got the field research breakthrough/7day stamps done (probably world first even). 3000xp 2000 stardust 3 rare candy (this is just one of the options) and encounter with Moltres Mine was lv15 and 10-10-10iv making it the worst possible you can get

You use your own supply of poke balls on it. It can break out of balls but it may not be able to flee, nobody has reported one running away yet.

There will definitely be car raiding in the near future, as temps are already hitting near 90 degrees. Once we're over 100+, many phones start to get hot (and people too!)

I got my Mew. 82%, but I was really happy with it (Dragon Tail/Surf). It's super cute and I like how it floats next to me when I make it my buddy. The part I was most worried about was the Curved Excellent throw, as any Excellents I tend to hit are completely by accident. But somehow I managed to tap into the power of Ultra Instinct and was able to focus on a Sudowoodo in and got that curved excellent, and from there everything was gravy.
