Anyone else notice really weird audio nonsense when Ru tells the girls to lsfyl and the thunder comes in? Maybe it's just a weird coincidence on OUTTv but the levels drop on Ru's voice when the thunder hits then goes back up again on the last line before the song hits. But I could just be really high........

misc thoughts: the tiger jumper is the best carson's ever looked on this show. loving hell carson!!! eureka was good in the challenge i think? but her runway and workroom stuff was still kind of infuriating. i cant get onboard the eureka fan train!!! the judging this season has been great. guest judges have been fun and involved! 90m runtimes are dope! i love love love the vixen. she is great television and should get some sort of fight night roundtable show where her and other queens just argue at one another. untucked episode is some 10/10 amazing television. i want to unpack the conversation but will give it a night to dwell on it a bit. i will say watching yuhua pack up was a really sad departure. i didnt expect her to go so soon

They do a bunch of odd production shenanigans on this show. I wrote it off for a while but audio is my job now so I pretend not to care because the show is better than the production is bad. I think we're all happy to agree that it's better that the show even exists anyway. In general, reverb needs a verrrrry light touch in post production environments. As soon as the mixer can hear it, it's too much. I generally watch poo poo quality streams for this show, but if anything they abuse reverb.

OH. MY GOD Kameron's runway look...  that was some FF8 Final Boss Fight poo poo. Has to be one of the best things ever on that runway.Also, I <3 anyone who will capture/release a spider. She's my favorite offisially. Courtney looked really good. I'm glad she settled on a face. Or her face has settled? Her voice was a bit slurry tho, I hope she's doing okay. I like Courtney but she was mush mouthed and couldn't work out what she was saying! Lsfyl to celebrity skin was an amazing choice. Ru Paul was talking like a slow robot, what's up with that? Dusty Ray made me shed a tear.

Man, Untucked was gold this week. The sight alone of Aquaria crying in her bleeding, arrowed bird outfit is one of my favourite things so far this season.

I think one of the best things that have happened this season is that every episode is 90 minutes. Full runways, mini challenges and more werkroom stuff always makes for good Drag Race and this episode has been great too. The Vixen brought to light a really interesting issue during untucked that I'm glad that's being discussed. While I have seen some people quickly bury it due to the personality The Vixen crafted for herself with her entrance and whatnot, her words do speak a lot of truth with regards to the optics of situations like that and how black queens are viewed differently to queens of other ethnicities.

I totally agree with this! I'm glad the show is giving air time to this kind of issue! I think the black queens get some serious poo poo that they don't deserve and it's a complete double standard. That said, I do believe that she still needs to be responsible and accept that her abrasive behavior is going to have consequences. I'm not suggesting she should just be nice and polite and calm so the white people accept her, but, like, girl, you're at a Phi Phi right now, let's take it down to a Shangela or understand that people are going to dislike you and it's not because racism.

The Vixen 101% has a point about how many viewers will perceive the situation due to the colour of skin of those involved in it. But she definitely does need to dial it back a bit, because yeah Aquaria did come for you but you're coming back at like an 11, and even if Aquaria started it Vixen definitely elevated it to a much bigger deal than it needed to be. She's been a bitch about it, but the problem is that a whole lot of people at home are going to see Vixen being a bitch about it and Aquaria upset and conveniently forget that Aquaria was being a loving bitch, too, and instead pile all the hate on the black queen. I'm really happy she brought it up in Untucked, it's a big issue in the fandom how you'll have a white queen and a black queen do the same lovely thing, or a white queen do a shittier thing but it's the black ones who get their comment sections blown up with hate and snake emojis and poo poo. Also, like Monet, I appreciate how honest Vixen is about how she's going to play this game and how hard she will come for people if they step to her on her way to try and snatch that crown. She's been upfront about it from the beginning and I dig that. The best part is that, so far, she's been a pretty sweet and supportive sister when she has nothing to clap back about. I think Vixen could tone down how hard she retaliates, for sure, but I'm not against her doing it in the first place.

The Vixen's approach to going the gently caress in and staying the gently caress in bothers me much, much less than what we've seen from other dedicated troublemakers on this show, and I think it's because she's right, and she's fair. That isn't insecurity showing; her judgment is good, and like she said, she trusts it. Aquaria is clearly used to being a passive-aggressive little poo poo and getting away with it and I'm real glad the Vixen's not letting her. Run tell 'em.

Also!! to be 100% fair, Aquaria started the drama this episode, but Vixen has been loving with her since day one and kept bringing up the Miz/Aquaria drama. They're both in the wrong but that doesn't stop The Vixen from being so loving right about the optics of the situation. People will remember Aquaria crying and forget she's been a bitch about it the whole time. Besides I love Vixen for refusing to let Aquaria act like she wasn't super pressed about Cracker's makeup.

Aquaria has been a passive aggressive poo poo since episode one, he likes to make his little mumbled comments and I love the fact that Vixen will not stand for that poo poo. Ru sounds really tired this episode. Did she have the flu? How can Dusty get poo poo for the eye dots but Eureka can wear that stupid loving match-head hair all the time? I love Monique's runway. I think Vixen started coming for Aquaria when Aquaria was being quietly, passive aggressively, shady about the Cracker makeup/yellow dress debacle. Yeah, there is this real thing in society where if someone says passive aggressive to us, we're expected to only reply in passive aggressiveness, or not at all. So people like Aquaria get used to getting away with a lot of bullshit, because if someone responds with any sort of escalation, then they look like a crazy person because what they did can be so easily dismissed or denied. While I think Vixen is taking it over the top, she is just so loving right about everything she is saying that she has completely shut Aquaria down, something that has probably never been done before.

While everyone is talking about Vixen and Aquaria, I’d like to take this moment to say that Monique Heart is one of the best things that’s happened to reality tv in years and I just cannot get enough of her. She’s been iconic in every episode and while the Vixen and Aquaria’s moment was the spotlight in this untucked, the fact that Monique has the shade sensing abilities to know she was gonna get thrown under the bus and her in the background watching Mayhem and Kameron talking to each other was fantastic and strong moments in a very packed untucked. I’m sad that the judges don’t seem to love her as much as I do. Girl keeps on getting done dirty and if she doesn’t get her time in the spotlight, I will riot.

She promised in her MTQ she would be the heart of season 10 and she is living with two feet firmly planted in that truth. Her looks have kind of gotten shafted, although last week was bad she gave great runway in the other two challenges. I love her a lot. Her look this week was right up with Kameron and Asia. I really want an emote of that Asia face from the ad. Legend.

I wish YouTube hadn't spoiled it for me in a thumbnail and video title on the homepage like the day after it aired. But I'm still looking forward to seeing the whole thing. As for the last season 10 episode, it was good, the bottom two deserve to be there, and the person who went home lost the lip sync.
