Just make sure you show up early, be polite and enthusiastic, get in a big group, and make sure you dodge and weave enough not to get knocked out while the dudes with a half dozen phones on their Trapper Keepers do the work! If there are enough people, they generally split into teams and all this is arranged while waiting on the countfpqn Better to get their early and know which group code vs being the guy running up trying to sort out which of the group of 50 people he should be with.

I've been having good luck with the legendary raid in my limited attempts. I'm 2/2 and I got one for my kid today. One was even 96%. Got Mewtwo tomorrow and should have mew in another day or two. Our discord community now has a user driven raid submission system, complete with multi user confirmation and a reputation system. Looks pretty neat and we have a fairly active group around here so we should get a lot just from polling gyms that are controlled.

How Not To Do an Ex Raid. 1. Raid starts at 1pm. Most people confirm on Discord they will be there. 2. Good spawn at the park so most people are there about 1230. About 1250 everyone meets up at the gym, and Idiot suggests a start time of 1:15pm. Note: this is the usual discord start time BUT IT'S POSTED AND REMINDED DAYS BEFORE THE RAID. Not minutes before hatch. 3. Everyone agrees to the time. It's posted in the discord chat. 3 people wander off to hit stops. 4. Checking the gym at 1:05, 6 people have jumped in. Idiot goes over and chats them up, then comes back to our group and tells everyone to jump in. Assuming everyone is there, I jump in. We beat the raid by 1:09. 5. Three people from discord come back, after hitting the stops. Are rightly pissed a start time was set, by Idiot, and Idiot decided to start the raid ten minutes early. 6. Idiot makes a half apology and leaves. 7. I stay with the three angry people and try to organize anyone else on discord or Facebook or any pages who is on their way. After a few minutes one Discord dude confirms he's headed out with his girlfriend, each with a pass. 8. 5 people in now.....oh but one of those is a 8 year old kid with severe ADHD. Half the time during the raid he is watching me text on my phone, or tapping on the screen nowhere near Mewtwo, or rubbing his thumb over the charge button. I offer to do the raid for him, and his dad refuses. The kid's a level 33 and can actually help a lot, but keeps getting distracted with dodging and seeing what Pokemon everyone else is using. 9. They fail to beat Mewtwo by 5 seconds. Mostly because of the kid. I offer again and get rebuffed so I head off, have poo poo to do. 10. I text Idiot and tear him a new one for the entire shitstorm. He says he has a lot of drama in his life and it's not his fault, but he felt bad so he left. 11. I find out on Discord they did manage to beat the Mewtwo the second time. The two adults are rightly pissed, and I'm irritated because I've been on both side, and it can all be avoided if people follow basic loving courtesy!

You know you don't actually have to click the pokemon for it to attack right? Clicking literally anywhere on the screen works. I like to click over the charge button. That whole situation sounds really annoying but tbh you should have spoken up and been like "no, this is the start time we agreed on". If some people had to go cause of work or whatever, sure, split into two groups, making sure group two has enough people to do it(an easy way to sell it to people reluctant to wait: second, smaller group = more balls).

Actually I didn't know that, all I know is that the kid was spending way too much time tapping the charge button once or twice and then looking over to see what I was doing. Since I wasn't the one in charge of setting the start time, or organizing anything at all, but idiot was, I know I should have said something but when he said everyone was there I trusted his word, and I shouldn't have. Either way it's a blown up on our Discord chat now, idiot's insisting he didn't do anything wrong only to backpedal when a lot of people insist he did. How to do an ex raid Don't wander off because you can't trust people to not be dumb. The only thing that happened at ours was I had the kids along and went to talk to them for a second. When I got back, people prematurely jumped into a raid with another group instead of waiting since we were splitting by teams. So then I just joined the red/yellow group, still got 9 balls since the gym was blue, and got it on the first ball for both of us. Then I got a catch a dragon quest...but the reward was stardust...
