This event is crazy and I'm sad it's ending soon. I'm up to 1135 machop candy and over 1000 karp. I had a ton of pinap berries going into this. Now I need to keep clicking every Charmander I see for a good one. At least it's sunny most of the time, and should likely be on community day.

Machops were nice, for sure, but the best thing was just at seeing a variety of non-trash Pokémon around. It’s more fun to catch staryus or whatever than that endless parade of rattatas and pidgeys.

I finally hatched my first Onix. So excited. Never saw one in the wild. I also got my first TMs, thanks to the research event. I think I'll use the charge TM on my Dragonite to get rid of Hyper Beam. The quick one, I'll have to put some thought into.

Double post, but I'm kind of in a moral dilemma. There's a woman in my raid group that runs 4 high level accounts that all have really powerful poo poo in them. I normally don't give a poo poo about multi-accounting except she drops 4 powerful stuff in gyms and will keep watch basically 24/7 on them and remote golden razz them anytime they're under attack. Whatever. What crossed the line is that we all agreed to do a raid at a spot, and all of us were valor and wanted a better chance to catch, and she wasn't going to the raid but kept trolling us from afar, and she basically won't hit her berry cooldown since she can just switch to the other accounts. Would you report her? If it was for pubbie tears I'd do it, but she's kind of in the raid group (though she never comes out of her car when she does come to raids, so...)

I don't think I've ever heard of someone banned for multi accounting. What's more important, having someone help with raids sometimes and accepting they're a bit of a weirdo, or asking them to not be so militant with their gyms, and calling them out on their poo poo if they won't play nice. Unless you're going to not raid with them anymore, it's an empty threat.

Report her and encourage anybody who notices her lovely behavior to do the same. Niantic definitely won't do anything about one report but if they get a ton of reports about the same person it increases the chances* they'll do something to "probably won't do anything". Plus it feels good. *maybe

Snitches get stiches, etc. there are many points along this chain of events where you could choose to do something differently, so I wouldn't get bound up in analysis paralysis here if the rest of your raid group is mad, convincing them to say something too might be a valuable use of your time. I think the math says 2 players minimum for a Tyranitar in simple terms of being able to output enough damage and stay under the clock. I'm not sure weather boosting changes that enough. It's frustrating but the only thing that actually cheeses me off is people showing up late or no showing.

How many of your communities include spoofers in your discord/chats/messenger groups? Had some drama, which led to the big discord to ban spoofing, but now there's a discord for spoofers, 2 for non-spoofers, and another one for "grounders" who want spoofer help. There's maybe 200 players and it seems crazy to me how divided this gets.

That seems really overly fragmented. Our discord is pretty anti-spoof but it's a community standards thing and most people aren't hyper-aggressive about it. Blatant, repeated spoofing will get called out if they contribute to the discord and also try to pretend they're actually present. Anyone who just lurks it to see raid groups and silently spoofs, who cares. Most of that second group are smart enough to use a different username than trainer name, so it's pointless to try and worry about it. In person at raids, if the group is pretty small, they'll open lobby and if a spoofer shows, so what. Nobody minds if somebody brings two phones; multiaccounting is pretty much totally uncommented on. If the group is large or a known/suspected spoofer shows up, someone will probably suggest going private. I raid with the same general group of people pretty regularly though, so we all know each other and so it's very chill. If I raided with total unknowns all the time maybe I'd be grumpier about it, I dunno. e: well except the one guy who's really strident about multi-accounting (and spoofing, and maps, and ...) is back on discord after a few months so we'll see if that changes things lol Psion fucked around with this message at 19:22 on Apr 17, 2018 |

Time for a ten-day streak of one star raids. C'mon special research! I don't remember if I mentioned this but I caught a level 29, 93 IV magikarp during community day. Talk about a lucky catch for the evolve a magikarp challenge! Might as well evolve a good one, right? I'll wait until I've done the ten raids on the extremely low odds I get a shiny, but otherwise I guess I don't mind having yet another gyrados. Reporting is probably not going to do anything. You should step up your own game and learn how to drop gym defenders simultaneously with 3 accounts, so you can take down the gym despite her endless berries.

PoGo drama is so loving dumb. My local raid group has two people who've started PoGo Youtube channels and are now in an incredibly pathetic contest to see who can get more views/likes while both passive-aggressively posting about how it's not a contest at all. They're both going to be at an EX raid on Saturday and honestly I'm considering not going because I'm just so tired of both their bullshit.
