The Optus Stadium turf is being called into question due to the spate of lower leg injuries and players saying that the surface feels quite hard under their feet from both sides.

So the turf is hard the lights are annoying and the fences cut people sweet

They fixed the fence already just fyi, they put a perspex layer across all the lower boards.

Apparently the led fences are the same as at other stadiums it was just a weird occurrence where 2 players got hurled into the fences in the same game. The fences are a half meter back further from the boundary line than the standards require as well

Burswood is literally a dump, a swamp and an old golf course so the ground should be as soft as a gablett hamstring

With this littany of unsolved problems the AFL is pretty justified in signing the MCG as Grand Final host until 2058 imo

Remember when everyone used to complain about the dome's hard surface causing injuries then everyone just got used to it/realised nobody was going to do anything about it

quote:Sam Docherty Knee Season Yeah half our team is out injured. At least Harry McKay is back this week? Also I believe this is the first match since Marc Murphy did his shoulder in mid 2005 that Carlton are playing without a #1 pick selected in the squad, now that Murphy, (Gibbs), Kreuzer and Weitering are out. Murphy returned in 2006 and played every possible game until 2012 with his second shoulder injury and by then we had Gibbs and Kreuzer (who was also out injured a lot)
