Monet’s contributions were the sponges and the split fakeout. She can go home now.

I'm not on board with the sponge bit. It feels very Mrs. Kasha Davis, which makes my blood run cold.

The split fakeout is probably my favorite lip synch moment, though.

Agree. Mayhem's toddler pageant dress resembled nothing denim. Monet is cute but I think she's out of her league, I honestly thought Ru would take Mayhem over her but oh well.

CRACKER WAS ROBBED. Ugh, I love Ross but he just doesn't "get it" sometimes re: Cracker's intro & hilarious book plug, and Morgan's hissing beige swan in AS3.

I continue to love Kameron and I want to see more of her (and touch her arms). Honestly, I'm ready for Blaire to go only so I don't have to hear Whell I dee-clayah...

And can you believe that the 1st queen eliminated on RPDR season 10 has won the game? Like, she's going to be referenced in every episode from here to eternity.

tbf to Ross I was concerned about Cracker's character at first, too, but the build up was worth it and it seems like he agreed.

also I completely forgot about Cracker in my post-watch post, she was loving great. I could have seen her, Kameron, Monique or Eureka all winning and all for different reasons. It was a really fun challenge.

e: ^^ I would be 1000% down for them to pull a Shangela and have her come back next season, but after having Eureka return from 9 for this one it would also feel weird do do another ruturning queen. I hope she does though or at least is called for AS4.

But I want more Vanjie so bring her back anyway. Then stop bringing queens back for a while after her.

Aquaria and Blair St. Clair are kinda whatever for me. They both are serving a fairly uniform aesthetic and don't seem to be great with acting, Snatch Game might be a brutal knockout week for them.

Aquaria is half relying on that 21-year-old twink bod. No shame, rock it while you got it! Her looks are very good, but for me they come across as half or more body-ody-ody. I really want to see a huge gown, padding, or something other than twink bod + lingerie.

Same for Blair St. Clair. She's very predictable: skinny girl tight-fitting old Hollywood glamour.

Give me a huge gown, padding... something??

I want to be entertainted. Aquaria and Blair don't entertain me, so far they've mostly been twinks that can look pretty.

I 110% knew Cracker was going to make dumb dick=pickle jokes, but that's OK. Cracker's thing seems to be making the super obvious and tacky/stupid jokes while also delivering clever wit and style.

The challenges have been sinking in quality for a while, which makes it show even more when a queen can't improvise to save her life.

Gays aren't allowed to guest judge anymore. loving another man is like steroids for evaluating the performance of men flapping their mouths to songs and wearing dresses, and rupaul cares about fairness too deeply.

Definitely tired of performance challenges, but improv is at least a little better than the pre-written performances, which are mostly awful at this point.

Were there any lipsyncs from Drag Race Thailand worth seeing? I'm not going to watch it any time soon, but I want highlights to use to persuade my friends to watch with me.

Yeah. Any queen going into this by now should understand that the fandom thrives on repitition and beating dead horses until they turn to dust. Yuhua has been really upfront about playing this game. Monet could probably sell sponge-related merchandise for months after this wraps up.

Crash and burn? AS3 and the past couple seasons felt that way at times but I think 10 has shown some signs of course correcting (though I’ll agree everyone on the judging panel except Michelle seem totally loving checked out, and her opinions can be... frustrating at times). I wonder if VH1 is stepping in some and guiding WoW with the casting/editing/storywriting.

That lipsync was horrendous. I feel like Monet should have been booted on principle for ripping her dress apart and air-guitaring (not even the spray cans could help), but Mayhem's was just so. bad. that they couldn't justify keeping her around. It should have been a double elim and bring back Vaaaaaaaanjie.

King of Foolians

Long live the King!
I think the group of queens this season is really good. There are a few that are still too much in the background but by this point its usually easier to see who will make it to the top 3/4 and who doesn't have what it takes. But at this point I feel like it truly is anyone's game.

The longer format is great and I love seeing all the mini-challenges again; it really adds flavor to the show. In my opinion the weakest aspect has been in the maxi-challenges. They all seem like recycled concepts of previous seasons and I refuse to believe that Ru and crew couldn't come up with more original ideas if they wanted to. For example the "comedy challenge" for the past few seasons have specifically been a Roast of some sort. The "acting challenge" seems like its always the queens split into two teams to act out a parody of something from the 90's.

I miss when Snatch Game, a 3 look Ball, and the top 3 make-a-video-with-Ru were the only guaranteed challenges and everything else was more surprising. I feel like this show is suffering in the same way Project Runway is where Ru/the producers are so focused on keeping to the same format that made it popular that they don't realize how stale and unoriginal it's become. It's still good tv but they've raised the bar so high that I expect so much more.

For this past episode I thought all the queens did a pretty good job and brought pretty good performances. There were some standouts but if you compare this episode to AS3's "Bitchelor" episode (exact same format, the queens split into pairs to play contrasting archetypes on a reality show) no one really poo poo the bed like Milk or Chi Chi did. I was annoyed at the judging though and I don't think it was fair for some of the queens to get the feedback that they were too one-dimensional when the assignment was literally to play an over-the-top stereotype. I also thought that Kameron deserved to be in the top or possibly win because it's obvious that she isn't one of the louder personalities and this type of challenge seemed well out of her comfort-level but I loved what she did and thought she was hilarious. I also thought Miz Cracker's Dr. Pickle was way better than Eureka but I guess Ru can't resist a fat man dressed up like a baby.

Finally, even though Mayhem's lipsynch was lackluster I thought Monet's was straight up messy. This would have been a good opportunity for Ru to send the message that "lipsynch gimmick" doesn't always mean an automatic win but alas.
