 I have made a mistake.... What? Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online is the.. 9th maybe? Game in the Neptunia series. Neptunia games are basically anime girls who represent both video game consoles and video game companies. Cyberdimension has the 4 main characters be beta testers in an MMO. Cyberdimension plays like a beat em up, though it appears the main series of Nep games are actually turn based affairs. The series is essentially a visual novel with gameplay attached. Why Some fucknig twat and I said some poo poo and here I am. As for why THIS one, well my assumption is after making so many games the latest one will therefore have the most polish behind it, right? Please don't say anything if that isn't the case, let me live in bliss. I don't really know anything about these games, so references to past games will fly over my head and I'm not exactly eager to go and read up on the lore. How? Video because screenshot LPs are even more time consuming when it comes to typing up stuff, and transcribing text and eff that. Also I know anime people get into a frothing rage over this but the voice settings will be the English because if I have to suffer through this game then so do you. Also this game has a bunch of dialogue, like a lot. I think it rivals Metal Gear Solid games. So I'll be speaking over them otherwise I'd be quiet for like 95% of the game. Spoilers? I guess I'll be informative or something Neptune is the main character of which the series is named of. She is the Sega console representative for a console that Sega was gonna make that would let you play different console's worth of games on one single console then abandoned. Lazy and hyperactive and doesn't do work, she is perfect waifu material for NEETs cause she reminds them of themselves Class Paladin Chest rating Flat like Sega's pulse in the console market Noire is the Sony representative, she doesn't want friends but secretly wants friends and cosplays. She's also some type of anime stereotype (BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THE REST OF THE CAST HAHAHA) which gives her the suffix of -dere Class Dark Knight Chest rating Well rounded like the PS2's library Blanc is the Nintendo representative, she gets mad and gets a red eye very easily also she writes porn books or something like that. Class Cleric Chest rating Flat like the switch Vert is the Microsoft representative, as an extension of your typical video game nerd she is a sex pest and stays up 4 days straight playing MMOs. She is the only one who does not have any sisters. Really wants to gently caress a video game character BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO PLAYS THESE GAMES HAAHAHAHA Class Enchantress Chest rating HUEG LIKE AN XBOX

Hi 4GO buddy! I am so excited to suffer through this game with you! A while back, I was looking at the 60-odd games I had on my Steam's wishlist, and realized... I sure collected a lot of games that I never bought for various reasons. So I bought this one! I, uh... I regret it. I legitimately regret it. So I look forward to having a friend to suffer through it with. PS: You can't play as the catgirl which makes this game even shittier somehow. I'm not sure if this constitutes as spoilers but if this game is like every other Idiot Factory game then the usual strategy is "destroy the enemy's break meter, burn it down while making sure not to die, when it gets the break meter back, start from the top. Repeat until it's dead" The good news is most RPGs don't do the Zodiac Spear poo poo or have bullshit hidden items. It'll instead have the VN version of that: where there will be some new event in a low-level town you have zero reason to revisit which will give you important poo poo. So make sure to revisit old locations after major events (especially towns) to make sure you don't miss quests or anything. Oh and if there is a crafting system prepare for misery. And if there are like class changes, look up a guide. I'm not even joking, in games like Agarest it was possible to make the ultimate weapon unequippable because you decided not to have your guy use swords.

As a sidenote, since you are on Steam version 1.0, characters are doing double damage (The giant Dogoo had 3300 HP, you did "1687" total for the kill), so fights will not take as long as you might expect. Quality Idiot Factory programming at work, folks.

Also as a sidenote, in the video you make a throwaway joke about the party having two tanks, a healer, and a DPS. First off, legit don't think of whatever party you put together as needing to be balanced in that way. The parties you come up with here will have more in common with Phantasy Star Online (et al) parties, in which everyone is expected to DPS but then what they can do as a secondary is cool so long as those abilities don't overlap. I know that the Enchanter gets some abilities that are really helpful end-game, for example. The spear-wielding Dark Knight, in my experience, can't tank for poo poo, even after I buy her new armor. That's a thing to keep in mind. (Also, her spear has the same basic attack range as Nep's sword, the difference being there are a few special abilities that gain range, kind of.) Even your priest will get some damage dealing spells, much like how in Final Fantasy XI I was one of those guys who took WHM to 80 and spent two merit points on boosting the damage of my Banish spells.

After talking about this LP in another Discord channel (that we both incidentally frequent, the Disgaea one) I decided to watch an episode of this anime. I have VRV, which allowed me to watch it subtitled or dubbed over; I choose to watch it dubbed, because like hell I want to read any of this. It's pretty bad. I won't be watching episode 2. More "fan service" than Nubohiro Watsuki's private collection. That being said, there are a few things that are constants in the series. Many of the characters specifically reference or are inspired by popular game consoles. Different consoles have "nations" which are basically the companies that creates the consoles. It's important for the consoles to have followers, or at least their nation's respect, because that is how they get their power. There used to be HUGE CONSOLE WARS but the collective THEY grew tired of this so now they have a FRIENDSHIP PACT, which means they are still going to hate each other but not as openly (you know, like real friends.) Neptunia, representing a Sega console that didn't even make it, naturally has the hardest time at things because I don't know plot. Fortunately, the show panned on the character's breasts and thighs enough that I could understand all of this! I would not have known about these things otherwise. These games, and indeed this franchise, is meme-worthy by design; it plays off of popular memes (lol XBox is Huge, that's why I AM NOT TYPING THIS SENTENCE OUT YOU KNOW WHERE I AM GOING HERE) and creates them. It's almost as if whether or not this series is merely bad, or so bad it crosses the line twice and becomes enjoyable, is totally dependent on how deluded and bitten by that anime or internet subculture your soul is. The less likely you can be saved by the power of prayer, the more likely you are to enjoy this. Or something.
