You could def cobble together great albums, and if you did a "Thriller" style I'm-just-gonna-put-all-my-best-tracks-on-here album it'd arguably be a classic, but the albums he's actually made usually end up dropping out of rotation for me relatively quick. I'll grab a couple few songs off of them but a whole albums often a chore. Barter 6 is great without qualification and Rich Gang will be remembered as one of the great mix tapes of the 2010s, these are no small feats by thug

They know he’s pretty socially conscious and he has had SOME decent songs, so “he good”, compared to “garbage” like Migos, Future, Young Thug or 21 Savage. I ask them to name some bangers from Cole and I mostly get blank stares. I think they think that just because they are socially conscious, they’re automatically good. He’s basically a discount Common or Kendrick to me.

I dunno poo poo about J Cole but it’s loving hilarious that he put a disclaimer on the cover Literally the only thing I know from J Cole is whichever beat of his Kendrick did Black Friday over and even then I have no idea if he actually produced that one
