The damage fall off is super severe and anyone can swim out of an ambush because the hits to kill goes from 4 to 5 hits too quickly. Also negating ink with the brush down and moving slightly faster while swinging are not really buffs but rather necessities for the weapon to function correctly. He pretty much swam and jumped, and then did a 180 degree turn to flick kill me.   Here's the ink tank on his back, meaning that he was facing away from me at first.  And then the moment right before I died. I certainly got a taste of X rank in those matches.

 New Splatoon 2 soundtrack album announced, will be released in Japan on July 18th. Includes a bonus disc with the Game Party 2018 Off the Hook live event, but the limited edition will feature a bluray disc from the same event. Incidentally, next weekend's Nico Nico Chokaigi festival will host another Off the Hook * Squid Sisters performance, and I hear there's something extra in store.

Gonna say that the Custom Range Blaster is no slouch at popping bubbles! CRB deals 225 damage to bubbles on a direct hit (you need to deal 400 damage to a fresh bubble to pop it, and they take 40 damage per second) With Object Shredder, that becomes 281.25 Curling Bombs deal 24 (touch) + 234 (explosion) damage to bubbles. For a total of 258 damage. With Object Shredder, Curling Bombs deal 30 + 292.5 to Bubbles. For a total of 322.5 damage.

Another detail about the next Shifty Station map. It's the first map in Splatoon 2 with bilateral symmetry, like Saltspray Rig in Splatoon 1.  Finally got off my lazy butt and made it to S+ in Clam Jam, and S+ in all modes. There's a limit of 50 clams that can be active at a time, but Power Clams only count as 1 clam. Meaning that it's in your best interests to get as many power clams as possible. Not only that, having multiple power clams active makes it hard for the enemy to defend against your pushes (so long as you all don't take the same path) since it'll force them to make hard decisions. Also if you get killed with a power clam, they can't steal it like with regular clams. Outside of the initial scattered clams, clams spawn every 4, 8, or 12 seconds, in clusters of 4. If you don't take all the clams from a cluster, you'll essentially block off any clams from respawning there and force them to spawn elsewhere when the time comes. You can abuse this if you want to. Block off the clam spots on your side to make it easier to grab clams on the way to the enemy's basket (which has the downside of backfiring horribly and feeding the enemy team clams.) Or you can be mean and block off their clam clusters this way, making it hard hard for them to build up power clams. Be warned that if overtime is reached, clams will spawn super fast! Making it easier to build up power clams in that case. You really do want to play offensively in Clam Blitz, since the mode heavily rewards it. If you break open their basket first, your basket retracts, making it impossible for them to score on you during that time. And if you do have to play defensively? Remember to defend from in front of the goal. You can't do much if you're hiding behind it.
