Nick Tropeano pitched 6.1 innings of 1 hit ball last night so it makes sense that he just got put on the DL with shoulder soreness and knowing the Angels he'll be done for the year.

On pace for 75 wins if I did that math right? Yeah that seems like a reasonable to good bet to get you second in this year's AL Central.

Every team in the AL Central is below .500 against teams outside their division. Cleveland is above .500 only because it's the tallest midget.

It loving sucks that the Mariners are in a distant second place with a better record than the Indians. Oh wow, the Jays are a half game better than the Indians and are in third?

Barria will probably be the replacement, he's pitched well when he wasn't gassing himself out against Brandon Belt. Angels starting pitching situation is a mess.

So, in a few weeks, i'm going on a little midwest baseball vacation, trying to get to a bunch of cities and stadiums i've still never been to. I'm getting to a game in Cleveland, Chicago, and Minneapolis. I'm sadly going to miss out on the Tigers and Brewers, but it sounds like I don't really want to go to those stadiums anyway. So, what things should I be doing and what places should I be eating at in and around the Progressive/Wrigley/Target fields.

Some Numbers posted:It loving sucks that the Mariners are in a distant second place with a better record than the Indians. It's a long season, and this will all average out. That being said, we have to play the Astros like 30 more times and Cleveland gets a division with Minnesota, ChiSox, Detroit, and KC, so they may end up with a better record than us anyway. Thom P. Tiers posted:The Nelson Cruz contract has been so so sooooooooo good for the Mariners. Having experienced terrible offense from 2004 through about 2015, I have to say I vastly prefer rooting for a team with bad pitching and good offense instead of the other way around. This is fun, we're gonna lose a lot of games 10-6 but it's going to be a good time anyway.

I’m a fan of Pick Me Up cafe on Clark just south of Wrigley. Chicago Diner is a bit east and also has some good vegetarian options. A friend from my climbing gym manages Two-Hearted Queen, if you’re looking for local coffee options.
