I think the only one on the album I didn't love was Take a Byte. this is definitely the rare album I wouldn't mind replaying in entirety simply because picking one track to relisten to is too hard, everything stands out

Anime is cool but have you tried Toku? You know like that Power Rangers and Ultraman poo poo? Its a wild ride, especially when you start thinking about the societal messages it reflects and amplifies.

I'm currently watching Metalder, a show about a WW2 robot patterned after a scientist's dead military son. Japan surrendered and Metalder was never deployed, and the project was so wild everyone including the Americans, happily forgot about it. So its not until present day(the 1980s) Metalder surfaces and starts taking the fight to bad guy, God Neros(dude looks like Super Saiyin version of Donald Trump). The 1980s japanese disco synthpop aesthetics are on full display woven in among stories about people and their places in society.

turn it all around

Today we pushed a new feature to a site we're working on and it broke some things on the live site. It just wasn't fully tested on staging, and no one on our end or the client's end caught it. The fix was easy, but made for a stressful hour or so. Makes ya feel real dumb.

Got the thing fixed and going to try it all again tomorrow morning, but tonight I'm stress eating fried chicken from a new local place and making cookies to drown my sorrows.

Come to think of it, I have a toku series sitting on my laptop's hard drive that I have yet to finish...

Also, things are going pretty well where I am, especially now it's kitten fostering season! It's basically all the upside of playing with/loving on/spoiling the dickens out of a little baby cat, but without turning into one of those sad types with several dozen cats roaming their property. Our local humane society is great at finding forever homes for the kittens, and my mother (with help from our own kitties) is great at raising healthy and well-adjusted cats that can get along just about anywhere :3: I help out by administering cuddles and skritches as we feed them their formula. Kitten therapy is extremely good for your soul, if you can get it

I got bettas, too (in secure fishbowls, in case you were worried). We got Finsuke Nakamura into a proper bowl a little while ago, and just today bought Ricky Steamboat and another one I have yet to name, but I'm leaning towards something like Jake the Sea Snake or The American Bream Muddy Rhodes. Suggestions are welcomed, because bettas have a life expectancy of a couple of years at the most :v:

Speaking of things that are good for the soul, I've added some ab crunches to the little bit of yoga I was doing, which I hope will keep me on the road to not being comprised mostly of marshmallow fluff, and I'm buckling down on learning a thing on the guitar (Cheeseburger's "Commin' Home" [sic], because I've been reminded recently of how thoroughly Superjail loving owns)!

Thanks for the chat thread I can use to share/brag/keep myself accountable to a bunch of internet randos!

Just saw Infinity War. I'm dead serious when I say it might be the best popcorn action film I have ever seen. It hits every note perfectly. Comedy, awesome as hell action, drama, incredible villain, visuals etc.

Best marvel film by far and this is from someone who loves all of them.

So my 6 year old daughter's two front teeth were loose but she didn't want to pull them out. Thing is, the new ones were starting to poke out behind them. I've already been through this with her bottom ones so while she was sleeping I took them both out in one quick motion. She got up in a daze and then got so excited because she knew I'd put presents under her pillow.

Now she looks so loving cute with this big gap in her teeth and her fangs being more prominent. She's my shark girl.

It's real good, Marvel clearly knew people are burning out and went balls to the wall for pretty much everything to keep people hype, and it worked.

It's honestly like Marvel took every single complaint leveled against them into mind. The comedy is perfectly balanced and works to cut tension exactly when needed. Thanos is neck and neck with Heath Ledger's Joker in terms of absolutely dominating every single scene he's in by pure force of personality and power.

At one point they manage to have two totally separate loving OUTSTANDING action scenes happening AT THE SAME loving TIME and it flows absurdly well.

Also easily the best ending shot of any super hero movie bar none. (I'm not talking about the after credits scene).

I still can't get over how loving good Thanos was. Brolin was having the time of his life in the role and it shows. You can tell he loving loved the role because he owns every single scene he's a part of.

I did not expect to want a Thanos prequel movie as bad as I do right now.

It's basically MCU's version of the Empire Strikes Back. In terms of pure quality I think the fact that they handled a movie as massive as this as well as they did is a huge check mark for a good future for MCU.
