I kind of feel that you should be able to skip one of the research missions every 30 days because this ditto mission is such bullshit. It doesn't help that I've only seen a maybe a dozen potential ditto spawns since the fighting event started. I'd swear they weren't spawning at all if I didn't know better. Drove around a bunch tonight with the wife trying to find dittos and she dropped her Wailord in a gym, we hung out there for a bit catching some of the fighting types that'd spawned and I kept an eye on the gym because seeing the giant Wailord is amusing. The entire time we were there only her Wailord showed up ontop of the gym, not sure if that's a bug or not but it just made it more amusing. i was there for that but zero Pidgeys and Rattatas we're spawning only thing that could turn into ditto that spanned we're ghastlys. I've been on ditto since April 5. That's why I want the ability to skip one special research mission after a month because it's pretty loving annoying to be stuck on something you have zero control over. Gyms only show the last mon that was dropped on top of the gym.

Yeah, anecdotally I work on top of a Gym and mash the Go+ all day and I caught two dittos this morning along with the unwieldy pile of Mankeys and Meditites so something changed or I got lucky.

Go Fest failed because everyone was concentrated into one spot. And while they added some capacity, it clearly wasn't enough given the game relies on data. They apparently looked at music festivals as a baseline, which doesn't require the capacity that Go does. They're trying to fix it by upping capacity even more, adding wifi spots, and having the event make people move around so they won't be congregated into one spot. That won't fix having really long lines or annoying YouTube stars being the MCs though!

Chicago's not the only major city in the US. It's definitely not the best. I don't undersrand wgy it wouldn't be rotated through. If you want another chance at getting Chicago right, then do it after NY, SF, and Austin.

it's definitely the easiest city to fly to but they should be doing events in a ton of American cities not just one once a year and people are so put off by last year a lot of discord chatter is how no one really wants to go but are gonna buy tickets to scalp

Watching it play out live last year was amazingly funny so you're probably not alone. I mean seriously, clueless people on stage proceeding as if everything is normal while an entire crowd grows increasingly irate is hilarious if you didn't spend an irresponsible amount of money/time to be there.
