One bug I noticed is that you can do dialogue loops to build up relationship points. The one I noticed was talking to Kahn in the Wild Mare and doing Who are you > M'lady to get points with anyone who is lighthearted, like Eder, Xoti and Tekehu.
There's definitely a conversation with Aloth in the early part of the game that contains this loop but for dialogue reputation, you can say something clever on loop and quickly become a world-renowned goof.

I have to say, the reputation screen is incomprehensible. Mainly in that it's unclear what the weight of certain circular bars are. After exploiting that bug, my clever reputation is a full blue circle - what does that mean? Does it start turning orange as I become more clever or am I just The Most Clever for the rest of the game? Are the weights proportional as you express yourself more (or don't, in the case of stoic)? More concerning is that my stoic meter is three quarters full without an exploit, and as I just left the starting island I can easily see getting just to midgame and accruing maximum rep in anything you don't specifically avoid.

Just a number up to 4 or 5, as with the first game, would make sense. You don't even get "moderately heroic" kinds of descriptors with places or factions. I've got a quarter bar with Port Madje which means... something, I assume

So is there any official word on when the fix for broken import save statuses is coming? It's really disappointing and not too encouraging that something as fundamental as the imported backstory for the very first companion is bugged to always be one option. Really tempers my enthusiasm and makes me wonder how broken other imports will be. I kinda don't want to play through if I'm just going to have to restart to have the stuff I did in PoE actually be present.

Also, this was known in beta but good lord is it loving stupid that putting a hat on makes you bald. I'm sure it's some really finnicky programming quirk but it just ruins hats for me which is a bummer.

I also ran into a Sagani-style bug with Serafen where we started discussing some pirate I've not met yet. Unfortunately I was stoned off my gourd and didn't record where and when this happened, I think it was right after recruiting him and talking to him on the deck of the ship.

Yeah, but "one fifth/quarter of the way through the level progression before you're even off tutorial island" is probably just a hair too fast. Like, this game is supposed to be 70 hours or something mad like that?

My guess is it slows down eventually, but you progress quickly early on so you have a fun toolkit to work with by the time leveling slows.

Eh, ran into a bug where changing serafen's ai behavior stops me from saving the changes, saving the game at all and my quicksaves disappear too when this happens, reload brings them back though.

Looking more and more like a wait until it's patched game once again(not that suprising)

I mean pretty much everything seems like an improvement over PoE1 but that sort of moment to moment stuff really sticks with me.

It can't be overstated how much of an improvement the combat feels in PoE2. Every little change adds up to a much, much better experience overall. Loving it

With that said, missing baby talk:

Assuming it's confirmed the missing baby is because the actual quest line in your PoE1 save is unfinished, then can you still finish the quest before jumping in the hole? What if you murdered everyone in Blood Sands and you murdered the guy who wanted the baby in the first place? what if you kinda just murdered everyone everywhere? ropekid please keep in mind there is 1+ players that went on a murder rampage in Twin Elms, but that baby is safe as hell.

World state bugs are really annoying, seem to apply even to built ones.

e.g. I don't have the fragments of the endless paths to reforge, Caroc appears to be dead (or at least her armor shows up as a unique chestpiece in one of the shops), Skaen said I wiped Aelys mind, etc.

Konstanten is in the brothel in the docks (White Mare upper floor). Fassina is apparently in the Dark Cupboard in Peroki's Overlook. Rekke is on the far right side of the map near some flotsam? I don't know where Ydwin is and haven't seen anything about her, unfortunately.

Shattered Pillar Monk / Soulblade Cipher is cool but that's mostly because you get to build up focus with Swift Strikes and then just totally annihilate a dude with 50 damage five seconds into a fight.

As long as you take stuff that seems good and take into account your resource limitations it's hard to go too wrong.

If you're ever in doubt about a companion multiclass just pick the obvious single class. Like I made Serafen his Barb/Ciph multiclass because I wanted to play around with it, but I made Aloth a straight wizard because I didn't want to micromanage his skinny rear end.

Bleak Walker / Berserker Fanatic is going well so far. I'm scrappy enough on Veteran that I can hulk out and just wade into people with frenzy without taking much more damage than tank Eder, and Flames of Devotion just explodes enemies so far. It's been a solid front line DPS, if a little lacking in variety in these early levels.

If that's where the endless paths blade is supposed to be, I set that to "I reforged the blade of the endless paths" in my newly created history and then yeah Yenwood fragments were there. You can get them reforged in the smith in neketaka

I wonder if you have to set to not reforged in order to get the shard of endless paths then? And otherwise lost? But that also doesn't make sense, since that seems more like you never found the shards in the first place.

I set the BotEP to have been reforged manually and they weren't in my cabin. drat. Worldstate bug is kinda rough. On the other hand, the game is so much more fluid to play that I don't mind the idea of a replay at all.

I think Whispers of Treason and Dominate (but especially Whispers because of its cost) are borderline broken. I get 30 second charms on things, and unlike POE1, it doesn't wear off when only "friendly" units are left, so your team can just smack them around forever and as far as I can tell you can go around Charming the poo poo out of the enemy party. I haven't used anything else on my Cipher because there's no real reason to.

Can someone clarify exactly what Berath wants the Watcher to do? All I gathered at the time was that they needed me to find Eothas and figure out what he's doing, but also there was some mention of gathered souls, and I keep getting ghosts to "join" me, and there's an implication that something has gone wrong with the reincarnation cycle. I still use Cipher powers more for crowd control (down a guy and snag Concentration, Whispers of Treason his buddy) but if you build Focus quickly you absolutely delete high priority threats.
