A bit underwhelming to be honest. I liked Alice and Tim but the others were varying degrees of Not Funny and Russell Howard was actively annoying

I agree. Not sure the tasks we're the best. Asim is incompetent without the funny anger of Nish or Paul Chowdry.

Hello, dear
I hate Russell Howard. I hate that I am expected to look at a man in his 40s acting like an excitable teenager and expected to be entertained. He can get off my television set!!! :newlol:

It seems to be much more an American thing, using actors in their 30s to play teenagers. I don't want that kind of thing catching on here.

I feel the Inbetweeners were all old enough to have kids in school when that came out. ‘Will’ was like 25 in series 1 at least and the 2nd movie came out about 6 years after it started.

I spotted Prime Suspect on UK Netflix this week. Good stuff, great cast (Helen Mirren mostly). It’s hilariously dated in many ways, but modern in the way it shows chauvinism, corruption and has a competent female lead.

I also spotted a bit part from a young Ralph Fiennes in episode 1.

It’s so focussed & repetitive, clearly intended to be reminiscent of old-school sitcoms. Though the writing & cast is very good and it makes me laugh.

Pissface/Pusface! Bambinos. Dad is sweltering/boiling/roasting. Any females? Salt in drink! Not now Jim. Lovely bit of squirrel, crimble crumble, end.

He came off like a very over-excitable child, like he never learnt how to properly share with his friends. Him being slapped down over calling his manager was wonderful though.

The bit in his stand-up where he gets revenge on the terminally ill kid is one of the most hilarious and touching things I've ever seen, so I can't dislike him too much: https://www.facebook.com/olee229/videos/1706665022695214/

I'm a bit scared to watch it now.

I went to see him live last year in Antwerp. That is to say, my girlfriend wanted to see him.
Hard not to notice 80% of the crowd were women.
But it was a pretty good show and can't remember being annoyed at any point. Unlike when I watch his good news show or whatever it's called, where he can really get under my skin.

I almost feel like Greg is a bit weird with her. He's awkward when he speaks and it's to her and doesn't make as many jokes in the way he does with the other contestants.

yeah I don't think it was egregious in The Inbetweeners because they still pretty much looked like lame, ordinary teenagers. The American thing is to cast people in their mid twenties who also look like American actors i.e fit and beautiful and generic

although they didn't do that for the US Inbetweeners iirc and presumably it was still awful

Did anyone watch The Island this year?
It was interesting to hear the jobs of the rich people because the idea that a guy can work 3 days a year selling things you can only actually get hold of if you're rich and make over £100,000 per year is enough to make anyone a communist.

It was strange that there were a few people who weren't camera related that never got a background. There was a black lady in the rich camp and they didn't say a word about her at all for example.
