Hey guys, this is Steve. As you can see in the picture, Wroughtirony is depriving me of the loves and snuggles I so desperately need. At the moment this picture was taken, she was NOT CUDDLING ME, in fact she was holding that wretched device of hers with both hands. Sometimes she even snuggles kittens that are not me. Please send help, this situation is quickly becoming untenable!

Last year my cat got sick, she's doing good now!  My Father's health took a turn though, so my apartment is full of boxes of his stuff now. My wife isn't a fan, but Alex doesn't seem to mind.  My wife made my a beautiful scarf for my birthday. Alex got a matching one.

Someone told me you people like orange cats. This is Scoops. He pretty much sucks, but he’s so darn pretty. That is also how I ended up with my ex-wife, and most of my girlfriends. Here he is, doing something evil. I’m not sure what. Farting, probably.  Here he is, shedding onto my Walmart bedspread. He’s really getting it in there.  Here he is, ignoring the bed I got him, which, for the record, was not free.  All tuckered out from a long day of farting and shedding.

I don't think I've shared my ginger bastard in here yet. Here's Tyrion doing....whatever it is he does.      Here he is the day he decided to come trotting out of the woods while I was trying to snatch a pregnant calico cat instead; didn't know she was pregnant, I assumed she just had some bloat from parasites....she was fine letting me pick her up for days, but the second I walked her away from her forest home she flipped the gently caress out.  Happy ending: Not only did this guy come and introduce himself after, but the calico gave birth the next day and the maintenance guys let her and her brood into the shed on that corner of the property. We eventually got her fixed and found homes for all the kittens.

Calico kitties do have a LITTLE orange... Geki discovered things on the porch this afternoon. Her little tower looks right out on those things. She's been enthralled all day, often fighting sleep just so she can watch the porch a little bit longer...

Yes, cat perch near window is peak window tv for cats. And yeah, calicos/calibys ARE sort of orange cats, they have tabby in the patches. But they can't compete with a magnificent beast like Geki!

The hallway is pretty narrow so I can't move her perch right in front of the window without making it an impediment.  But, she has other windows she can sit at!

Constant eye inflammations from feline herpes and that eye in particular has a precancerous condition we’ve been having specialists keep tabs on. She was found living in the exhaust system of a bus with her kittens by a local shelter

I'm going to apologize beforehand. This is Ty, begging for rubs (that he got!). Last week, he passed away in my mother's arms at the ripe age of sixteen. He was just a plain regular housecat that we got from a loving family as a kitten. They had an enormous fluffy dog that the kittens were using as a playground. When we kneeled next to him to say hello, a little ball of orange fluff stumbled our way to say hello, climbed up to my lap, and promptly fell asleep. We took him home the same day. Over the years, that tiny little kitten grew into an enormous orange tabby we named after Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. He was the sweetest, friendliest, most social cat that ever catted. I don't ever remember him using his claws with us, even in play. When we had guests over, he'd come up to say hello and get some rubs. He especially loved children. There's a sweet old Dutch couple who rent a cabin near my parents' house and they told us that when they were in, Ty would turn up at their doorstep in the mornings and yell at them until he got expensive Dutch cheese and sausage. He'd then spend the day napping in their lawnchair. When I moved out, I wanted to take him with me, but he'd spent all his life as a free-roaming catte at my parents' property and it didn't feel fair to force him to live in a tiny student apartment. Whenever I visited, he'd crawl into my lap and make himself comfortable. He loved to climb into my father's lap, then reach up and tug his beard.  A few years ago, I got super sick over the holidays, a really nasty flu. I spent the weekend feverish and bedridden and Ty spent most of the same weekend curled around my arm like that. He gave us sixteen years of purrs, cuddles, unconditional affection and laughter. I like to think we gave him a good comfortable life. I'm a big dumb nerd in my thirties and I'm tearing up like a child when I think of him. Please cuddle your furbeasts for Ty's sake. I'm going to miss him terribly. I'll see you at the clearing at the end of the path, big guy.
