Is borderlands 1 fun singleplayer?

I started it on gamepass and it kinda seems like its gonna be bulletsponge city with mediocre shootfeels.

if it's anything like borderlands 2, it starts ok and then halfway throguh everything takes so many bullets you might as well not even bother

enemy power in borderlands 2 scales exponentially while enemy power in borderlands 1 scales linearly. it's not a lot better, but at least almost every normal enemy can be one-shot on a crit from a sniper rifle unlike BL2.

Yeah Borderlands combat is one step above the fake shooting in MMOs or BioShock Infinite. If you have to play it just skip to 2 and rope in friends
