Justin Wilson is the rare example of a reliever becoming lovely after leaving Detroit.

Dude literally has a 1.62 WHIP. Do not expect him to change ever again, take it as a lesson learned.

He sucks. They should either come up with a fake injury where he can work on poo poo or DFA him.

I don't get why this team sticks with certain lovely players that Joe will never use in the playoffs anyway.

Also very good of Maddon to micromanage guys like Duensing and Cishek forcing him to throw Wilson out there in extras

Eh, to be honest I'm not too annoyed by that. There was never going to be any room for Candy to get significant time with the Cubs given his primary and secondary positions are occupied by Bryant and Rizzo, but his bat had been MLB ready for like a year and a half before he finally got traded so I'm glad he's getting regular time and performing. It's more that at the time he was our top prospect and we probably could have gotten more for him than a catcher rental and an incredibly lovely reliever.

Duensing looked fantastic I was surprised to get him get pulled so early.

For Astros talk:

I really, really like Tony Kemp's game. I want them to give him a honest chance to be the long term CF, he looks great at it.

Duensing is really good and is actually fairly split neutral/almost reverse-split, but Joe absolutely insists on using him as a LOOGY and nothing else. It's weird too because he was used as a more general middle reliever last year and was fantastic, arguably one of the best guys in the pen. Not sure what has spurred Joe to be so quick with the hook on him.

You could move Bryant to RF and play Candelario at 3B. He's also a much better player than Caratini.

This will make sure you don't suggest to the KDz
That he should grow greens instead of crushing on MCs

Grimey Drawer
At some point Justin "loving" Wilson was going to be used today, it's a double header. So you can't really blame Joe for waiting until extra innings.

Still, I am very tired of Justin "loving" Wilson blowing games and only being able to pitch when the Cubs have a 6+ run lead and he's facing the weakest part of the order.

Yeah and he doesn't catch, so comparing him to Caratini is kinda moot. You need two catchers.

e. Also you can't have Bryant play RF regularly unless you don't play Heyward's contract, and that isn't happening. Could move Heyward's contract to CF I guess but then you can't play Almora often and gently caress that.
