I also discovered the album Karelian Hills by Psychework today. Really good bombastic stuff, kinda like if Kamelot and Avantasia had a kid who hangs out with his cool melodeath uncle a lot. The vocalist is like a cross between Tobias Sammet and Bruce Dickinson. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_sAecPORdQ For some reason this mid-tempo semi ballad is the only song off this album on Youtube. It's really good, but overall the album is more power-metally than that. I've been alternating between it and the new Amorphis all night.

I've only gotten one sit down listen in so far, but the leads in "Tombstone Chapel" are amazing. The whole album is amazing. This might be topping "Nine Graves" as my favorite work by them.
