Berserk suffers from having some dumb edgy arcs, but even with those it was good and it's gotten even better as it's gone, it's still super violent but the artwork's gorgeous and Miura's a good storyteller.

I know it's a bit of an exceptional entry in the halls of bad anime, but Blood-C pretty much did permanent damage to my ability to enjoy, or even coast through the stuff, since it oscillates rapidly between boring-bad school anime and repulsive-bad gore anime.

And even throws out some fantastic match-ups that don't just require the protagonist being slated against the designated rivals sequentially. Especially when he gets knocked out in the semi-finals. It even gives Ochaco a chance not only fight, but to be pure badass against Bakugo. She might not have won the fight, but they make it drat clear that she very nearly got him even with him eating the Meteor Drop. It took everything he had to stop it, and she might well have kicked his rear end if she hadn't conked out from exhaustion.

But those pace murdering habits are so common other anime that I'm guessing most anime enthusiasts just kinda tune them out.

Unless there's another one that I'm not thinking of, Guts kills the horse before that can happen. Which doesn't really count for much because there's still a whoooooooole lot of rape in that series.

Okay, so we're talking about anime and I feel like I'm to blame- mainly because of my avatar even if that's all I'm guilty of- I gotta be honest, I have no idea what CalArts means and what shows are using that style. Like, Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Superjail, Samurai Jack, Ren & Stimpy, those are distinct styles but hell if I can say who's behind what though.
