ELECTRONIC OLD MEN RUNNING THE WORLD
Here's a self-styled political blogger with 10k followers who came to my attention when a Facebook friend liked one of her posts about young people not being able to buy houses because they're lazy and spend all their money on tattoos and takeaways.

She's rabid about Brexit and should probably be a regular here. She's relentlessly hypocritical, sharing any news article she agrees with but putting out 'Don't listen to the media, they have a leftist agenda' when she doesn't like what they've written. She also hates anyone famous who promotes remain/labour/liberal viewpoints because they're rich people who have no idea about real life and are out for themselves but if they're pro-leave/UKIP/conservative, then they're obviously very intelligent to have so much money so you should listen to them.

Anyway, she wrote a poem about Brexit today.

quote:

ALBERT AND THE LION BREXIT STYLE

There once was that there referendum
And remainiacs dreaded the day
They said that the folks that had voted
should only have voted to stay

They were cocky and helped by the media
who told us all we were fools
It was and in or an out decision
and the PM had set down the rules

The elite they got out the big guns
they had celebs and bankers to say
The plebs they don't know what's 'appening
There's only one vote the one way

The country would crash after brexit
The country would be on it's knees
but the FT did bounce and recover
and shareholders did smile and were pleased

Mark Carney did speak like the devil
with doom and gloom in his words
They tried their damned best to deceive us
they thought that the people were nerds

Brexit voters were tired and brow beaten
as the BBC counted the votes
We felt sad and a little bewildered
We 're just decent and kind honest folks

for 44 years we've paying
as we watched other countries just grow
with the billions we had to keep sending
but the Brexit vote voters said NO

The confident media did diss us
as they smirked and expected a win
What a shock for the beeb when they told us
WE'RE OUT WERE NOT STAYING IN

The Lion did roar at the ballot box
and this decision was never a joke
it was a longed for result for the nation
and 17,4 million folk

We'll never give up on our Brexit
We will fight till our nation pulls free
Our laws, our terms we'll decide them
Brexit means the world to me !

Lipstick Apathy

Sometimes I feel like "God drat some people live really superficial lives, that must suck" and then I realize "Yeah, but someone out there probably thinks the same about me". In this case though, I do feel like it must suck to take everything so literally and never even look for deeper meaning, or think it even exists. It's really kinda sad.

Also, people like this who say they hate to read are like people who refuse to try broccoli no matter what because they just know they won't like it. You have to loving try before you can say you hate it.

I like the "white people made up the word, now we have to ask permission to say it?" Which is hilarious considering white people should obviously understand the awful reasons for which it was invented, and why whites should then hand black people the keys to its use. Like, you invented it but can't admit it's a weapon?

The conflation of Chronos and Cronus is almost traditional at this point, but this is the second time recently I've seen this nonsense about "kairos" being a good kind of time. It just means a good or opportune time; when Klingons say "today is a good day to die", or when you hear someone talk about striking while the iron is hot, they're talking about kairos.
