If Disney ever has to do away with Kylo's mask (since it's already gone in canon), it's gonna be tough finding a cast member to match Adam Driver's uglyhot unique face. And no one will be satisfied.

I remember going with a friend to see Kylo and making dumb jokes.

Dude as Kylo was a giant dude that got right into his face and it was honestly pretty intimidating.

I wonder if that guy gets sexually harassed by Adam Driver fans, and what the Disney protocol is for getting grabbed by visitors (it’s “keep working like you’re fine or you’re fired” I’m sure).

Costumed employees have security around them, either in plain sight or within sprinting distance to shut down any shenanigans real quick. About ten years ago I was at California Adventure on vacation with some family and my younger cousin (who was a real drunken unstable teenage shithead at the time) ran up and tried to tackle a costumed castmember for no reason as they were going backstage for a shift change.

He got grabbed by the shoulder by a handler really quickly and got told if he tried anything like that again, he was getting kicked out of the park, banned, and having OCPD called on his rear end.

Disney takes its security hella serious.

For all his many flaws cancer is terrible and I wish him a good afterlife should it exist, and strength to his loved ones.
I lost my favourite aunt and my amazing uncle to cancer, and 4 other relatives are currently suffering from it. I'll never wish it on anybody.

Believe what you want about my motivations. I have nothing more to say. Cancer sucks, I say that as a cancer survivor and as someone who has lost family to cancer. But I suspect even the wokest of games outlets are going to print glowing retrospectives - in other words, lies - and I refuse to lie.

I really could say other things here. i'll just say that a wife has lost their husband. A son has lost their father.

I dunno, perhaps that should mean more than GamerGate. To me, it REALLY should all things considered. Their should perhaps be some perspective.

Thank you. I'm sad about Bain's death for the obvious humanitarian reasons, but also because it will continue to defer the real, long-overdue reckoning the industry has to have with the past half-decade of critical culture, fan brigades, and harassment - and because Bain won't be around any more to see those changes and even be a part of them.

Let's not forget that he did try and stem the abuse his fans were engaged in. His GG involvement really amounted to thinking it was actually about ethics and he was quick to back away from the toxic pile when he wised up to the truth.

I do think, if he'd had the time, he would've been a positive voice in the end. It's sad that he won't get the chance and his fans will think it's okay to continue to be abusive assholes towards anyone they disagree with. He was a flawed human being like most of us. He just also had an audience amplifying his bad traits.

EDIT: /\ that was 100% unintentional, I swear.

I've always had a bit of a love/hate relationship with TB. I frequently disagreed with him vehemently. Back in the early days of WoW and Starcraft, I liked his podcasting/hosting for the most part.

This poo poo makes me feel bad, though. I spent 3.5 years in an oncology unit. I had a ton of patients come in for chemo treatment, they'd spend a few weeks or months in the hospital (you got to know them really well). Then later on, they come in on hospice and you help them die comfortably. I watched a lot of people die to cancer and it kind of hosed with my head a bit, it's depressing.

Regardless of his faults, I hope he was comfortable in the end.

At the same time, I don't know if anyone could manage an audience the size he had.

I feel like there should be some guideline that you should at least wait until rigor mortis sets in before you start debating about them.

I can't really say anything on TotalBiscuit, as I didn't really watch a whole lot of his stuff. Only video of his that sticks out in my mind is when he was talking about the original Dungeon Keeper in wake of the terrible mobile version.

I'd make a joke about his obsession with game settings/sliders, but that's probably in bad taste.

Admittedly, I wasn't a big fan of his; the most I heard of him outside people sharing his fight with cancer on Twitter was Jim Sterling giving TB a shout out for researching G2A's malfeasance when Bulletstorm: Full Clip came out. I wasn't happy about him getting behind GG for a bit either, but I wasn't a fan of his to begin with.
I still like to think I have enough sense not to "well, actually" a cancer victim like 5 minutes after he dies.

I definitely didn't agree with TB on everything and at times found him kind of annoying, but I discovered a lot of great games as a direct result of his work and had more than a few laughs. I've lost several family members to cancer over the past few years (one to the same form of it) and I wouldn't wish that poo poo on anyone for any reason. It is a long, lovely war of attrition, and not one that you get to win, and it takes a toll on everyone close to you.
