I’m a solo dog dad for the rest of the week into the middle of next. This means that I get to take my best buddy Lando for all of his romps, play with him to my heart’s content, and spoil him with bully sticks and treats (note: I’d still be doing this if my girlfriend was around). Today, we went on a nice trail run early in the morning, and then had a big romp in the woods right as a big storm was coming in. After Lando dried out, his fur got fluffy as gently caress which made for some excellent pets and snugs. Pictured here is one snoozy Lando, who fell asleep in the middle of getting his butt rubbed. I loving love my dog so much.

Tarkus has a very rough life: 10:30 PM: woken up from sleeping on the couch to go pee and then go back to sleep in the people bed 1:40 AM: wakes me up for belly scritches, goes back to sleep mid-scritch 5:35 AM: knows my alarm is going to go off at 5:45, wakes me up ten minutes early to make sure I don’t miss it (and resume belly rubs) 5:45 AM: snooze 5:47 AM: paws me because it’s time to get up and he’s hungry 5:48 AM: won’t go outside because Jade isn’t up yet 5:49 AM: Jade is sleeping on the couch and is not interested in getting up yet; barks at her until she just accepts he’s not going away 5:52 AM: goes outside, doesn’t do anything, scratches at the door to come back in 5:54 to 5:54:30: eats breakfast 5:54:30 to 5:56 AM: stares at box of minties in the counter while waiting for Jade to finish eating 5:56 AM: devours mintie, goes back to bedroom to wake up mom with newly fresh breath 5:57 to 7:30: sleeps on couch 7:30 AM: wakes, realizes I’m working from home today; brings football into office to ensure I don’t actually start working
