This is the only thing I can think of: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/heidi-fleiss-her-arrest-macaw-cause-drug-addict-tom-sizemore-1117449

quote:

How are things with your ex-boyfriend Tom Sizemore, convicted of abusing you in 2003?

We had done those drug addiction shows together — Dr. Drew. Afterward we were friendly and he'd call me every now and then. He'd act like he had his stuff together. But it was all a lie. Everything is a lie. I brought him to a Humane Society event at Paramount Studios last year. He was just such a mess. So out of it. He stole money from my purse. He's such a drug addict because he's so afraid of being fat.

Fat?

Yes. He once did some movie with Will Smith, Enemy of the State, where he was, like, 280 pounds. I like a heavyset guy. But he is so afraid of being fat. That's what his addiction is about. It's all narcissism. It's gross. I guess after #MeToo, some reporters were calling me about Tom touching a prepubescent girl — like an 11‑year‑old little girl — inappropriately. I don’t know what to say. I don't know if that really happened. If it did, he should be castrated. That is so disgusting to me.

Did he ever show signs of that when you were together?

No. He liked horse porn, though. He did like horse porn. This one woman that would have sex with a horse on the internet, he told me that’s his favorite actress. "Better than Meryl Streep."

idiocracy is about how dumb poors outbreeding smart people is gonna gently caress up the country when in reality it's the well off suburbanites that elected the dumbest person in the world to the presidency.

That's hardly a Mike Judge exclusive delusion. Liberals to this day and probably in this thread also blame the dumb poors for Trump's election. It really is remarkable how a few thousand white unemployed factory workers in the Rust Belt get all the blame rather than the usual Republican constituency which numbers in the tens of millions, I guess because Democrats have for some bizarre reason decided that the latter group is more likely to vote for them.

In a more subforum-relevant albeit still technically off-topic note, when I watched Idiocracy I missed the opening prologue that explained how dumb poor overbreeding ruined the country, and started off with the main character waking up in the dystopian future. Consequently, I thought the reason everyone was so dumb was because of several hundred years of pointless counterproductive corporate brainwashing. Every other scene someone says or does something stupid solely because a corporation gives them money to do so, but the breeding thing isn't referenced again until the ending. Really improves the reading of the movie there I'll tell you what.

Three loving cheers for Weinstein getting arrested by the way. I'm still amazed that actually ended up happening.

The opening is a nod to the inspiration for the story, C.M. Kornbluth's "The Marching Morons", which has the same premise (man wakes up in a future where most people are dumb for the same dumb reason). In the story there's still a small segment of smart people who run things. Their problem is overpopulation, which is solved by encouraging people to go on vacation to Venus.

You know how Godfather Part III was disregarded in large part because Coppola made "International Immobiliare" a huge part of the plot behind the death of the Pope? The Vatican Bank is hugely corrupt and has blood money all over its accounts. Immobiliare was actually real and the Vatican has its fingers in investments around the world, largely for advocacy and lobbying. Those collection baskets don't go just straight to the parish.

Edit: Last I read, the Vatican Bank had more than $8 billion in assets under management. It's little more than a money laundering scheme.
