Just got dropped a KodakCoin document - the official offering memorandum, 21 May 2018. Their first round - coins bought pre-ICO by Global Blockchain at $0.25/kodakcoin - was fully subscribed, netting them $3.25m. The second round, however, aimed for $6.75m - and netted $880k. The paper clearly says that this type of manipulation is used on real markets, which just goes to show you how far bitcoin has come. You couldn't do a scam used with USD and stocks with bitcoin unless bitcoin was precisely as legitimate as USD and stocks.

Wash trading is rampant with butts but drat near impossible with actual money and securities because it's so easy to detect. I've seen one instance of it ever being done at scale ever and it required dozens of LLCs and it was just used to generate fake volume so the people doing it could get first in line for IPOs.
