I remember watching a bbc documentary about this bloke raising a panther cub. He had to have at home for the first few weeks to make sure he was bottle fed and would survive.

With in some thing like 4-8 weeks the cub was so strong it was unreal. They followed it's progress almost daily and it got to the point where his teenage daughter couldn't really play with it any more because it was so strong.

I can absolutely believe a fully grown adult is immensely, it's terrifying thinking what they could so you when you factor in claws/teeth etc.

Hey, I know not everyone is happy to see bugs, but I had a pretty cute interaction yesterday. I was kayaking in some lakes where I live and work and came across a dragonfly that had fallen into the water and was drowning. I scooped her up and put her up front where she could dry out. She seemed happy to just hang out and tolerated me picking her up once she was dry. She finally flew off while I was desperately trying to get her to cling to something other than my finger so I wouldn't take her into rougher water. ~Bug stuff~

Stuff like this is why I don't smoosh bugs like I used to, I do a catch and release (and sometimes check them out if they're neat looking or have crazy colors) :) my favorites to find have been jumping spiders and praying mantises, they're neat to watch and feed

I will smoosh earwigs any chance I get. I don’t care if they’re harmless; I don’t want an insect dropping onto my legs while I’m sleeping because it got scared of a tiny vibration. And they’re loving everywhere.

I meet a bunch of rescue dogs when I walk my sister's dog. Some of them are real shy but you can see they want to make friends, they're just all nervous and don't quite know how to do it. I love seeing how they improve a little every time I see them! Last week we met one who basically ran away screaming when my sister's dog approached, but calmed down when her owner gave her some reassurance. They met again this week and played a little together, it was adorable.

Frozen cubes of chicken stock are a favorite summertime treat of my friend's dogs! My neighbor also swears by the "everlasting gobstoppers" she makes for her cats -- gushy food mixed with water and frozen into small tubs. The cats get their gobstoppers every night. Her cats NEVER bother her at night because they always have food to pursue.
