In a shock to the senses, I just walked past a TV with the footy show on, and after their Crawf in Russia bit they had a Ukrainian woman in the audience that Sam and Eddie were positively engaging with, as she gave the correct pronunciation of all the Ukrainian heritage AFL players, and explained Ukrainian identity and the drive towards a democratic Ukraine as part of Europe, and away from Russian domination and their Soviet past.

Listening to an interview with new aflw coach daniel harford. Some good insight there, with teams looking to reduce overall height and go for speed because it is harder for the girls to move the ball around the grounds with two less players and shorter kicking distances. An interesting stat is in season 1 the running requirement of the girls was around 6km per match, this year it was upto 9km.
