I remember when I first got into Perterbator back around 2014 or so, he used samples drawing from the Satanic Panic of the late 80s/early 90s and I thought how it was so campy and I was glad how we got that poo poo behind us. Little did I know how wrong I was.

Lots of cool and good dudes seem to be coming through denver recently, Ive gotten to see perturbator, dance with the dead more recently carpenter brut last month. Magic sword comes in like 7 days. Perturbators show was sick as poo poo and super enjoyable.

Magic Sword loving brought the house down when I saw them in Houston at one of the last Walter's Downtown shows. That version of In the Face of Evil they play live, with the extended intro and the loving incredible solo at the end, is just the most absolutely sick thing ever. e: it was actually really great, because they played a set containing all of Legend and a solid chunk of Vol 1 but really conspicuously missing In the Face of Evil. They leave the stage and everyone starts yelling for an encore, so they come back and then start playing this thing that none of us recognized... and then all of a sudden that loud-as-gently caress DUH NUH NUH NUH kicked in and the entire crowd loving lost it, myself included. And then they covered the Theme from Top Gun by Harold Faltermeyer, which I'd give my left kidney for a recording or studio version of, because hooooly poo poo.
