   There are lots of cute "rats playing musical instruments" photos on the internet. I think they must be the photographers pet Dumbo rats since the blue spotted one shows up in a lot of the pictures. These aren't taxidermy. Just something tasty on tiny props. That article, when it was posted on another thread, made be do internet research on crocodillian intelligence, since I always thought they were dumb. Turns out I was wrong. They are just very difficult to research because they are ambush predators and they are not as active hunting due to low metabolism. They also tend to be nocturnal hunters and live in murky water. More rescued dragonflies. It looks like it is going to be a daily operation. Here are the before and nearly afterwards. I think this one was a he.  The turtles are also laying their eggs right now and I came across this little lady while out biking in the national forest.  Lastly, I couldn't get a shot but before ducklings can fly, they all run along the water as a little platoon while mom flies after them when they want to get away from a scary kayak.

We live on the outskirts of town by some ponds, and the daily interactions with nature are too great to convince me to ever go back into the city. Every spring we have turtles come up to our house and lay eggs in the flower beds The geese hang out at the ponds and have babies that are adorable until they turn into rear end in a top hat geese, which, sadly, is happening now. Now we're at the point in the summer where the toads and frogs are hatching. Our yard and walkways come alive when we walk around, and upon closer inspection, these are the culprits:
