get your loving animals spayed or neutered unless you plan on keeping all their goddamn offspring.

I would steal that ladies cat.

:catbert:

also what the hell does catholicism have to do with it? they eat meat so obviously animals dont count towards heaven.

That’s the main reason the official Catholic position is that animals don’t have souls.

tonka update:

he is up 10 pounds and off to his forever home

i am now very tired of dogs

its rare when i foster success, but that one would have needed about 6-8 more months of training to be ok with other dogs and cats

much better in an environment with no other pets, he is way more chill and doesnt try to have sex with everything

Are rescues okay to post in this thread:

We got Margo from a great rescue in Chicago called One Tail at a Time. They go to the shelters run by the city and take in dogs to their no-kill shelter and adopt or foster them out. Margo had heartworm when we got her, which they paid for the treatment of, and she was very lethargic. My wife and I thought it was us, but then I looked up what heartworm and the treatment does and I would probably not feel very good if I had spaghetti in the valves of my heart and just had arsenic injected into my spine. She got through the treatment like a champ and now likes to go on adventures and play and snuggle.

Guys I'm going to miss Sterling so much. He goes to Maine with me in a week to my parents, who are adopting him permanently. So he'll stay in the family and I'll get to see him when I visit but I only have another ten days or so of him curling up next to me to sleep at night!

Here he is getting loved on by our resident scardey cat, Cosima.

It does seem like you are an intake magnet, and also know what you are doing. At the very least, they should be aware of your antics because they probably have a deal worked out with localish vets.

Knowing other fosters can't hurt either.

eh the vet I work with usually cuts me a fairly decent price break as most likely im one of the better customers, tonka was a grand total I think of $160 including shots/tests/heartworm meds and a neuter.

He is also literally less than 2 blocks away which is nice.

I just don't want anyone being like "heeere take theeeese they will get euthed if they don't find good homes" and then I get more furballs like the sad gullible person that I am.
