My hope is Tanahashi makes it to the finals. My assumption is the final is Okada vs Naito. My hope is Adam and Mike are right and Switchblade loses to Yoshi Hashi and loses his mind. My assumption is the tournament MVP is YTR.

I think Tanahashi takes it for one last ride in the main event and he and Kenny main event the Tokyo Dome. Re: Elgin I try to watch his matches with suspension of disbelief because, I don’t know, I want to like wrestling and so many of them seem like trash people and I don’t feel like getting caught up in that cycle most of the time. That said, I do a bad job of separating the performance from the performer, and I dislike him and want to see him lose. He seems like trash.  Here’s a small anecdote: the promotion he used to run, Glory Pro, runs in the STL area where I live. Before this whole mess with him surfaced, I went to one show and it was pretty good; Marafuji had a cool match against some giant and there was a really great tag match. Anyway, I paid for tickets ahead of time and the guy emails me to PayPal him money, but to do it by selecting the “sending cash to friends” option because “it helps when tax season comes around.” My wife and I joked about how Elgin really needed to get a better business manager. Once all the stories about him broke, I realized it was Elgin who had emailed me via his normal Aaron Frobel (or whatever) account. I didn’t think anyone would make up the name Michael Elgin. He probably also will end up getting hosed for tax evasion is what I’m saying so he is pretty deeply invested in skeevitude.

Yoshi Hashi is so ugly it's honestly kinda impressive. Give the poor lad a mask or something. Juice turning up to the press conference with a bow tie and a giant shiteating grin only confirms him as the biggest face going right now.

Running with Japanese commentary for now. It's on a hype level unmatched by the English commentary most of the time and the last couple of shows I've gone with English. I did enjoy Chase's commentary, though.
