I was disconcerted at some of the sentiments expressed earlier that, to me, seemed to put attacking black-humored offensive jokes that were made and resolved years ago over an accuser who is currently saying and doing waaaaaay more vile things in his professional and private lifestyles. An accuser who is inciting followers to commit all sorts of likewise vile acts. There’s a big difference in my mind between what Gunn posted versus what Cernovich actually does and people need to pick the proper target for their outrage and anger rather than divide and squabble and get nothing accomplished. It seems to me that the posters in this thread are all pretty much on the same side, just that the energies of a few people are directed at the wrong target. So I felt I had to come in and at least present my opinion. If for no other reason than to make myself feel a teeny bit better about this situation like signing that (probably useless) petition kind of did. I’ll probably submerge back into lurk mode now that I’ve pretty much presented my feelings on this matter. I just felt I had to vent because this sort of weaponization and perversion of social outrage in a terroristic fashion by the Neo-right to punish those who speak out against them is getting way out of hand and it deeply troubles me. Also drat I love my man Bobcat. Awesome.

I also think that as long as weird Mike's twitter crusade is in this thread it will legitimize the idea that this is a justified metoo thing. A new thread with a concise description and some counters to the stupid misinformation Mike fans have been spreading could be helpful. It was an hour and a half long. Nobody should need an hour and a half to get through their heads "don't be creepy" Although it's still weird to me the porn booth sponsored the thing.
