There's a spoofer near me that kicks people out of gyms right before midnight so that they don't get coins for the next day. A lot of this game's community is very cool and helpful, but man the lovely ones are insanely poo poo.

This was my BIGGEST thing when I first started playing. You just think about all the possible reasons why not and it just seems like they want to gently caress you over with eggs as much as possible. Is it battery drain? Can't be more than when you have the game open and running. Is it for anti-cheating? They already capped the max tracking speed to roughly 15 km/h or just under 10 mph.

As an avid runner this annoys me so much and I just wish they would just let me track egg walking distance with the phone off so I don't drain more power than I have to, AND so that I can put my phone back into an armband without worrying the jostling will accidentally make me purchase 100 Pokeballs or something (it's made me accidentally purchase an incense one time in my pocket). I'm already over the incredibly inaccurate/thrifty tracking distance, but it'd be nice to get my goddamn credit that I'm actually out there and moving even if they're only going to give me 0.3 kilometers every 4 minutes.

Doing some dirty math, the game only gives me roughly 40% of the distance tracked of what I actually run based on my average speed.

I always feel like a mega-rear end in a top hat when I head home at like 11:30 and hit the couple gyms on the way home. I want to go pass out so Im not gonna sit the 20-30m for it to roll over to midnight, and the only time I really get to put stuff in gyms is on the way home, so I kick them out if its not full of strong stuff, place my mons, and go home/to bed.

Someone immediately kicked me out of one of the 3 like 10m later once and I hope they got their 50 coins

So how does one full heal a gym defender really quickly? When I was coming home from work today I wound up beating down a mr mime at the local park where nobody was there for a good 10-20 minutes since every other fight he would get his motivation reset back to max. I mean hey more xp for me it’s just weird.

1 Golden Razz Berry full heals a pokemon. So if you have enough, you can keep some-one very frustrated by keeping the pokemon in the gym all healed up every round of fighting for 10 rounds. Since after 10 or so berries you cant feed any more.

Was wondering if it works at a distance and it seems to do that, so I guess I made a guy waste 10 gold berries just to defend a gym for a grand total of 10ish minutes rather than 1. I can live with that.

As long as a defender has their Pokemon still alive in a gym, they can feed their team from a distance. Regular berries get significantly reduced as to how much their berries heal if fed from away, but golden razzberries heal 100% no matter if you're physically close or doing it from a distance.

I don't know why but the last time I was fighting a spoofer with golden razzberries, I was able to feed 20 to my Blissey. I don't know why this changed and it wasn't like the attacker was taking so long that the half hour reset for berries keeps kicking in because after 20 berries, the game gave me a message with something to the effect of "This Pokemon is very happy and doesn't need more berries" to signal I had hit the limit.

raid shuckle is entirely different from your shuckle, which is a pushover to a moderately powered up pidgey

(I exaggerate, but not by much)

Raid shuckle is such a problem because it has the boosted values of any raid boss combined with shuckle's monumental defense stat, like 396 out of a possible 400, highest in the game out of any pokemon. And then when it's your inventory you get the lowest CP, Attack, and 4th lowest HP stats in the game, so that defense doesn't mean anything.

To expand on this, that abysmal attack is the other reason it's a major pain to raid. You're taking so little damage from its attacks that a good chunk of your charge meter gain is crippled. It's actually kind of funny that Shuckle manages to be be a wall, but not in any way beneficial to players.

This makes it impossible to take out a gym solo if someone is defending with golden raspberries. You have to try to shave just one mon out as fast as you can at a time without running into errors for doing that , which I don't think is possible.

It's from when the first mon is bumped out completely.

My best is 1 day 4 hours (and counting) at a gym on a forest trail. The guy who took it has been there almost 6 days.

Right after the game came out I went to New York for a wedding, and drive around at maybe 1am getting gyms. Went to this official business looking gym and took it over fairly easily. A night security guy came over to us and asked us to leave, as it was actually a mental hospital, and we were accidentally trespassing.

Since no one there played Pokemon go, we held that gym for almost three full months. It was actually very surprising to see my Vaporeon come back to Colorado.
