Writing terrible things happening is one way of processing and dealing with the sudden onrush of FEELINGS that happens in puberty (much like writing dudes boning is a way to process OH GOD I WANT TO gently caress EVERYTHING ALL OF A SUDDEN). You don't know why you're suddenly sad and grumpy all the time, but you can channel that into sexy angst and thus be able to handle it reasonably well. Mostly happens with girls because a lot of the time people don't let us punch each other or play electric guitar, which I assume is the usual boy way of dealing with puberty.

Yea straight guys can work out their youthful feelings by just punching things and watching whatever today's DBZ version is. Gay kids gotta turn it into a powerful furnace of terror and anxiety but we still got to watch DBZ because we could pretend we weren't just watching it because we knew vegeta wanted get that goku dick and then got to watch Sailor Moon after because haha it just happens to come on right after not my fault. Girls get stuck having all the same feelings but no acceptable violent outlet so they write fictions where bad things happen. In my school the cool thing was to write stuff where vampires fell in love with humans but it always ended with the vampire dying. Like, they would talk about the different ways they thought up to kill the vampire boyfriend that wasn't 'cliche' and they got into some van helsing poo poo. It ruled. Did...you guys not process your identity issues by just hiding from most other guys and falling into a group of Spooky Girls and theater homos? Was that not how other people did poo poo?

Then if you're really lucky someone will buy the rights to your Jeff the killer indie game and turn it into an anime. edit: For actual content here's a guy who reviews rpg maker games, both the really terrible ones and ones where there is enough effort present to warrant constructive criticism. I've been getting into miniature painting as of late, and that's resulted in me watching a lot of stuff on YouTube related to it. One channel that stood out to me was Tabletop Minons. Apart from showing off painting techniques and whatnot, he also covers some other aspects of the hobby. Also, here's something interesting I've seen being shared around. Platinum Paragon did a study on adults who play video games.
