I have the utmost respect for people who successfully foster dogs. In my personal experience it is more of a Rent To Own program.

Everything I know about fostering comes from the fostering megathread and je-sus, I couldn't do it. Not dogs, not cats, especially not kittens. Major respect to those who can - and even more respect to sneakyfrog, who didn't ask to do it on a regular basis, but does it anyways because jerks keep dumping animals on their porch.

He used to hunt all his treats like that - he would be in attack stance, eyeing it, tail wagging furiously, then he'd attack it, flinging it about, then sometimes rubbing his shoulder against it. Then after a minute, he'd've properly subdued it and would calmly nom on it. Then he stopped - I assumed it was because he just got more comfy and knew he didn't have to be a street pup anymore. But considering this - it was like treat we haven't had in 9 months - maybe it's just some treats bring it out in him. It's also the only room in the house with carpet, which he loves to just run circles on because he can get grip. He's amazing. Edit: Alternative caption for the gif: "Back, and to the left."

She is now a one year old proper dog who is finally mature enough to have free run of the house. We made her a peanut butter cake for her birthday. I think she's done growing but everyone tells us she keeps getting longer.

A girl I dated several years ago had a big dog snuggle monster named Polly who was not merely a very good dogge but by far the sweetest, friendliest, most gentle giant ball of fluff I have ever met. 13/10 would get recommend being smothered by good dogge.

I only have a duplex, but I would have to talk to my landlord AND I would have to really think about this since this would be my first dog.
