Speaking of Wrestle Twitter, someone created their own version of the Evolution poster with a bit more diversity in it. Naturally the replies are split. You have the majority who support or like the poster, and then you have those who hate it (racists/alt right). It's worth noting that Nia Jax apparently retweeted it as well, which brought attention to it while throwing shade at WWE. https://twitter.com/WWECyberKing/status/1026189252219072512 DarkstarIV fucked around with this message at 02:19 on Aug 6, 2018 |

Mel Mudkiper posted:lol "Pro Wrestling is the most free market enterprise there is!" *doesn't realize what a profound detriment that statement is" There are definitely a group of people who do not like the current NJPW and a lot of it seems to be older western fans who long for 90s stuff they first discovered and especially dislike the current roster of foreigners. "Indy geeks" is often a phrase used and they especially hate Bullet Club. Odds are they also have found memories of Pride FC, from what I've seen on Twitter.

Wrestling is definitely a wild west free market in which one giant company controls almost everything of importance and locks people into long term contracts. The incredible freedom of WWE employees is unmatched! I'm a big racist libertarian like Kane, but I don't support full anarchy, and therefore some regulation, such as crazy government intervention like "forcing WWE to call their employees employees, just like every other business in the country" would be good.

Kane believes in the state's monopoly on currency and the scary "globalists". He thinks everyone on welfare is a parasite. He has some incredibly bad political beliefs and it's good that all he won was local racist figure head. The Knoxville mayor and city council holds the majority of power in the country.

All it takes is him getting endorsed by someone above him and can be a senator or governor, though. Jesse Ventura was mayor of Brooklyn Park (which is essentially a suburb of Minneapolis) before he was Governor, and he rode in on the whole "Not a career politician" nonsense.

So he was all for getting Ventura into the debates and might have even had people from his campaign donate money to Ventura's campaign.

Kane is very much an open libertarian at this point and one thing I've learned about that ideology (especially on SA because they hosed SWARMED this site once upon a time) is never let their chill liberal social views deceive you. They are quite possibly more insane than the GOP on economic issues and once you go down that road with them there is no turning back or convincing them of other views. I also agree we need to stop saying "he'll never make it far if he chooses to continue in politics" after mother-loving Trump won in 2016.
