I liked it because Ron Howard was good at making fun of himself.

I think of that one as funny by itself, but a bad indicator of what would come in regards to celebrity cameos.

like Principal and the Pauper

that episode by itself is good, and a funny parody of cartoon continuity, but a bad sign of what would come later when they got even more fast and loose with continuity

I also liked the Mel Gibson one because the joke was Homer treated him like the action star character and not a real person and the re-edit of the movie at the end to be extra violent was funny
