Don't you just hate when you wind up in a store with people who are in a socioeconomic class that is pretty obviously about two levels lower than your own?
486 and 40MB might be too low for Haiku to run well

NEXTSTEP 3.3 or OPENSTEP 4.2 should run pretty OK though

Source Mage's tagline is "Linux so advanced, it may as well be magic",[5] and its commands have a "sorcerous theme". Each package is called a "spell", and its package management program is called "sorcery".[5] To install a package the user must "cast" that spell. Casting a spell consists of downloading the source code (if it is not already downloaded), checking for dependencies, casting them if necessary, compiling the program, and installing it. A set of available spells is called a "grimoire". To uninstall a package the user must "dispel" the spell.

Granted, Schilling is nuts, but that doesn't make wodim any less crap nor will I ever need to use it because cdrtools works. It's an imperfect world, but if it works, I use it.

as i see it, the only idiotic default with fedora and such distros, is the amount of updates you're getting. it's insane. dnf-makecache.timer really does not need to run daily. fortunately, since it is linux, it's easy tweakable as opposed to the cancer called windows 10

i never understood the linux/sound jokes. my very first linux laptop way back in 1997 had working sound. you just ran a wizard thing and it played a sample sound to make sure it worked

the sample sound was a recording of "my name is linux torvalds and i pronounce it as 'linux'"

Last Chance

linux sound and wifi work under very specific circumstances but are not guaranteed to work well regardless
