Saw Mad Caddies in DC last night, they were awesome. Not sure why they moved it from the main stage to the smaller side stage, but it was a good time. Great mix of old stuff and new stuff. I'll have to make sure to see them again when they come back to the East coast, which at this rate will be in 15 years.

I learned this from the Bosstones twitter feed, but their album is not the only new ska album of the year or even this month. Mad Caddies have a new album that came out the same day, Punk Rocksteady, and there's an album from the Interrupters, Fight the Good Fight, due out the 29th.

Maybe they should've gotten all the celeb cameos from the video to give up money instead of doing the Kickstarter? I love the Aquabats music and all, but this is kind of absurd. Not really digging the OH MAN WE HAVE TO MAKE MORE EPISODES OF THE SHOW TO MAKE MORE MUSIC vibe they're going with here either. They just sold a bunch of the vinyl release of Fury of The Aquabats, so obviously the market is there for the music, but you'd think if there was actually a market for the show, they'd have found a financial backer or network or whatever by now, its been three years.

The Aquabats adjusted their kickstarter goal to be much less insane, and have been funded for a new album + mini episodes + a live concert album. There's 3 hours left and they're 50k away from getting a second new album, if y'all wanna contribute to hopefully get it up there. But on the other hand, lol kickstarter.
