Stop, to think we don't judge people by the image they project through fashion is obtuse. I'm just pointing out that the hipster/alternative kid look is the full blown mainstream and it's weird.

I guess it's like when grunge took over in the 90s and created a fashion trend for the next 5 years.

Don't really care for the new St. Lucia singles. Kinda boring.

New A R I Z O N A sounds pretty good good but I'm not really happy with the the 80s Doug Henley throwback sound they've got going on. Really preferred the elevated EDM of their first album. But anyway, here's a new song:

And goddddd this new Marsheaux track is beautiful:

One of my favorite products of the Minneapolis indie scene, Bad Bad Hats, have released a new album. It's a definite step in maturity since their debut album and the sound is much smoother and refined.

Good stuff.

Ohhh, I saw them early this year and I really enjoyed them. I can't tell if the lead singer is super weird, or just super mid western.

Madd came across my discovery list and I am really into it.

wow Beach House was so good last night. Really nice venue in Portland I’d never been to before.

the opener Sound of Ceres really blew me away too. Such a cool show visually, the fact that it was so dark and no one was using their phone made it even cooler.

I'm legit obsessed with Sylvan Esso but for some reason all the Mountain Man stuff I've ever heard just sorta leaves me shrugging, I don't dislike it, I'm just like "well that's fine" and it doesn't leave much of an impression. Except for this video where it looks like Meath either wants to make out with her bandmate or move into her mouth and build a little nest there.

Old Town Road to EGOT

I listened to Be the Cowboy earlier. It's my first real exposure to Mitski. I like her voice, but ultimately the album didn't leave much of an impact on me.

Not really feeling the new Interpol either. It's got some cool guitar parts here and there, but no songs that feel essential to the Interpol discography. It just kinda goes on for too long without being very interesting.

If you combine choice material from Puberty 2 and Be the Cowboy you can actually make a good Mitski record!

I'm pretty consistently let down by her disparity between singles and cohesive albums.
