I can't figure out what the hell they are unless Morgan made a base-base model for the Japanese market. I've spent the last hour trying to figure out wtf these things are. I had never heard of this thing before so I had to look it up. Apparently its Supercharged and Turbocharged and gets a whopping 108 horsepower and was rallied. That must mean its AWD right? I can't find any info on if it was FWD, RWD or AWD. I want one now. Goodbye Cappo. Hello March.

Took the ACTIVE WORLD up North on its first big trip and things turned out pretty well. Dog seal of approval. Also spotted this camperized RHD TownAce Only issues at some point some belt started making a huge amount of noise. Turned out it was the alternator belt. My brother and I were discussing this while a person overheard and said that they drove a Delica for 10 years, did his own maintenance and he could have a look. He quickly identified the issue and said the tensioner is really bad and undoes itself all the time. I got this fixed without issue.

The only way to authentically drive a kei truck is to be 70+ years old with your geezer leaf sticker in the rear glass, doing 20 under the speed limit on a 2 lane road in the countryside with no overtaking zones. $100 bucks lighter and I've got all the belts + tensioner on the way for our Jimny. I was looking over the paperwork, since 2014 it had gone 448km total. Belts look a bit ratty and the AC belt slips regardless of adjustment depending on the revs. No evidence of a timing belt ever being done on it but the serpentine belts aren't the originals. The size of the engine and packaging means you don't even have to remove the radiator to get at the timing belt, I'd be surprised if it takes me more than 2 hours to change it all. Jimnys are loving rad as heck, yeah I've got the AZ-1 too but it's cool as gently caress that both my other half and I have these ultra-cool and fall-in-love-able cars right now. You'd expect that the AZ-1 would get a lot of attention and it does, but the Jimny competes with it.

Odd question, but do any of the Subaru/Toyota/Honda trucks have a bench seat up front for three people? I need a winter vehicle with 4 wheel drive but need to carry 3 people. I like the functionality of the truck, but guess I could do a van if I had to.

Gaddamn the Jimnys are tempting. Looking at the statistics it seems like the prices are pretty low, maybe that’s due to how many there are? I’d love to have one that’s modified to poo poo with those tractor wheels and all but I guess that’s not the shrewdest move.

They are super stout little trucks so as long as you goop up the bottom you should be golden. savesthedayrocks posted:Odd question, but do any of the Subaru/Toyota/Honda trucks have a bench seat up front for three people? Since you mention Honda and Subaru I'm assuming you mean kei trucks? There isn't enough space up front for that, you've got about 4.5 feet across to play with for the whole car. A 4WD van in the kei category is the only thing with seating for at least 3 and still being a kei. Or a Jimny, those have back seats too. Most full-size pickups will be quad-cab anyway so if you go that a bench seat up front won't be required though you'll be stuck with Toyota since Honda and Subaru don't have large pickups. LANCERS

Just putting around town just feels like a normal car. I wouldn’t hesitate to take it on a long trip in a heartbeat. Handles the highway no prob. And isn’t to uncomfortable to drive. Suzuki really built a real sports car not just something that looks the part. Really needs some real tires though then it’ll become truly go kart like. Still lots of fun to show up dudes with exotics parked around town. Every time I see it and drive it just puts a stupid smile on my face.

Just so you guys know. Cappos are posted in the Suzuki section under the Model of "Other" pretty frequently. Since they have less eyeballs they usually go for a little less. I now wonder if it would be cheaper to import a spare car for parts or pay shipping and tax on parts each time you need them. Can a car, let's say a Delica, be cut in half to make it "parts" Customs-wise? In an honest way, not a "weld it back together later" way? gently caress, the US lets us do that with machine guns.

A whole car sure here you go oh wait the umbrella that was in the car not allowed There is no hard and fast rule. Used to be that "loose" items couldn't be included in a vehicle when it was shipped, now though you can. The 4 door Pajero we received had a front bullbar in the rear along with the luggage rack, tied down in the cargo area. Also was a tiny little folding stool and some LED lights. This stuff was inventoried on the invoice even, made it through just fine.

Sorry but this is false, the rule is absolutely you cannot ship things in cars. You might be lucky and have a customs agent or port that decides they do not care but the law states no go.

I'd never run the risk of shipping something I absolutely wanted to be sure that would make it (see my Jimny bumper and tire cover issue earlier) but for ~bonus~ stuff like the bullbar and luggage rack I didn't really care to get, sure shove it in and see. I say "rule" in the sense of enforcement. Laws that aren't enforced don't really mean much.
