You can get a lot of easy XP to boost your level by just adding friends and opening a gift from someone (or you send them a gift and they open it). You immediately become "Good Friends" and get 3k XP, and then 7 more days of that will make you "Great Friends" and grants another 10k XP. You can easily get yourself to level 20 just off friend bonuses.

I've also just started playing due to finally getting a decent phone. Just got my first perfect IV poke too, an Oddish. Which is rad, really like that whole line. Is Vileplume or Bellossom better? Or just go with what I like best (Bellossom)?

Neither one is top tier so you might as well go with the one you like better. There's a point in the celebi quest line where you have to evolve a Pokemon with a sun stone to progress though, so maybe wait until then.

Hi belge The best way to level fast and get better pokemon is to raid, best way to do that is find your local group which will be on Facebook or discord or WhatsApp. If you’re a little wary about meeting other people playing the game it’s mostly harmless and fun.

If you're not shelling out for incubators constantly, that can be 60km of walking. I don't spend money on this game so eggs are pretty much a waste of time for me. It can certainly feel like a slap in the face to spend 7km on a single egg just for another smug rear end Meowth to crawl out of it, still trailing yolk and bits of shell.

Just hatched 2 Mr. Mimes in a row. After flying to Europe and collecting 2 Mr. Mimes in the process, this feels like cheating  Though I'm loving my two new Kangaskhan homies, so I guess I should get over it.

Okay I got a go-tcha, and it's about 1 billion times better than a go plus. The auto catch/spin feature is amazing, and makes it so I'm not even slightly distracted while driving. I didn't get any shinies on the first use but I caught 54 pokemon on my 25 minute commute.

Whether you thought it was a glitch or not why not hang on to a couple of them just in case? There was always a chance of this. You’ll no doubt be able to get another anyway, they’re still showing up and now that unknown types get prioritised in the radar they shouldn’t be too hard to locate.
