It's going to be so weird as an American flipping from Sunday football to live Doctor Who without the slightest bit of hesitation. Even if my team is playing it's not even a contest which program I'd rather be watching and I'm a lifelong homegrown fan for one of the more popular clubs.

Like many of my generation, I prefer to think of myself as Northern Irish rather than Irish or British. That being said, I imagine I shall probably just get an Irish passport when my British one runs out next year. It's kind of disappointing to have to do it but what can you do? :shrug:

My granddad was from Belfast, and apparently that means I can get an Irish passport? That'll be useful for the forthcoming Brexpocalypse.

My dad's Irish and I'm so grateful for the chance to remain an EU citizen. But also quite cross about the situation.
