I actually like DOA as a fighting game, it has nice mechanics and maybe the closest thing we'll get to Virtua Fighter from now on, but the gigantic tit waifu aspect almost makes it embarrassing to tell people you play it or let them see you play it.

I just want another game with El Fuerte. I have never had better hate messages with any game in my life. Some of those messages made DOTA2 hate seem like a light breeze and if I'm going to be playing lovely online I'm going to have as much fun as I possibly can. Give him huge bouncy tits, say he's transitioned and let me tortilla some tits onto every miserable player out there while spamming goofy runs and rolling in the pure salty hate.

You don't see a lot of female characters in jeans and a shirt in other franchises. Heck, if you turn off the boob bounce (which is an option) the game can look down-right chaste compared to SF, SC, Tekken and KoF. I laughed when one of the trailers featured a gigantic octopus tentacle grabbing Leifang or whatever her name is. Subtle Team Ninja ain't. That being said, I agree that it's pretty endemic to the genre these days. It's not like SFV or KoF are any better and I think Soul Calibur actually has all of them beat on this round. Ivy, Taki, Mina, et all are pretty ridiculous in VI, not that they haven't always been. The designs are strong enough that I don't mind but Ivy did get an eyebrow raise from my wife who is from Paris (not exactly a bastion of modesty) and normally extremely unphased by that kinda poo poo.

My hot take is I wish they'd have kept it out. I enjoy DOA gameplay and played the poo poo out of 2 way back when because it is fast and fun and easy to pick up with friends. But these outfits and jiggle is just embarassing nowadays. I was hoping for DOA to actually get a bit more time in the limelight but I fear that's never gonna happen for a fringe quasi softcore game.

But I fear that the whole jiggle waifu aspect will overshadow all gameplay merits and systems of the actual game, since it seems to be the main talking point. There's always Buriki One for the worst of all worlds - You use the joystick to block, but you tap the joystick up to block, and down to block low attacks, and you also use the joystick to attack and do special moves.
