Looks like Heitkamp may be toast thanks to yesterday's ruling of the SCOTUS on Brakebill v. Jaeger, which leaves 70k North Dakota residents, a disproportionate number of whom are Native American, lacking IDs needed to vote in the generals. Since Heitkamp squeaked by six years ago by 3k votes, thanks to an eleventh hour push by Native American voters, she's likely to suffer a pretty severe setback. The Court largely upheld it on the theory that it wasn’t “expressly” targeting any race, because apparently the majority must rule as if they are the most naive fuckers on the planet.

The cats seem pretty chill about it though. My uncle had a raccoon back in the late 90s. It hid everything shiny in the house under the couch. Need a fork? Couch. Where's my watch? Couch. Hand mirrors, tools, belt buckles, keys. Just flip the couch and go hunting. He found it when he was out deer hunting, still a baby, a few weeks old. Had it a few months before he took it back outside, it hung around his garage after hitting adulthood but eventually wandered away. He doesn't recommend them as pets.
