Hey guys, any advice on how to stop these critters from eating my pumpkins? They'll do it right in front of me and then run away if I come close.

Mix some chili oil and garlic powder, slather the pumpkins in it. Squirrels hate that poo poo and will be repulsed by your pumpkins when they smell it. Though your porch is going to smell like chili and garlic, but that's a bonus to some people. Source: am growing pumpkins in my garden and the little shits kept murdering them

Hire a pair of Potsylvianian spies to take out the squirrel, OP. They can also take care of your moose problem.

employ a larger more powerful squirrel, and escalate along this route as necessary until your whole town is reduced to burning rubble at the hands of the kaiju-squirrel

Autistic Edgy Guy posted:Put em up your rear end op The squirrels or the pumpkins? To contribute: OP, acquire a huge pumpkin. Gouge out a squirrel sized hole, then hollow out the pumpkin, and using a welding torch, line it with metal mesh. Finish the pumpkin trap with a cunningly designed one way trapdoor. Then fill it with delicious pumpkin mash made in a blender. After you catch your squirrel in the pumpkin trap, take it to the pumpkin patch of someone you don't like, and let the squirrel loose. Come back a few weeks later and try to sell your pumpkin trap to the pumpkin patch owner.

Fire is nature's great equalizer, so just light the pumpkins ablaze. If you really want to go whole hog, light the entire porch on fire. Those squirrels won't come anywhere near.
