Did anyone else pick this up? I was worried about the "boots on the ground" direction because I haven't played CoD in 3 years and liked the jet packs and wall running and stuff but it seems they found a nice balance. You have unlimited sprint and you can vault over stuff or climb through windows really quickly and the maps are fun. I also really like the new radar system with vision cones instead of a circular radius, it makes positioning a lot more interesting in objective modes. Haven't played Blackout yet outside of the beta a few weeks ago but I got the impression it's probably the best battle royale implementation out there for what it's worth.

Agreed entirely, wish I could be with you on Xbox but happy shooting. Have you tried the new Heist MP game mode? It kicks rear end, there's no create a class or specialist stuff, instead everybody starts with basic pistols and you earn $ by getting kills and winning rounds and then you use that $ in-between to purchase new perks and weapons and attachments and stuff for that game only, kind of like Counter Strike style. I haven't touched Blackout since the beta a few weeks ago but I had a ton of fun with it, pretty confident saying it's the best a battle royale game mode has ever been

I guess it sucks in Australia or other places where digital editions are significantly more expensive and you have data caps but I think that's a non issue to most ppl in the US

The levels also always have incredibly obtuse secrets and easter eggs that people sometimes don't discover for months after release that summon new bosses and spawn special weapons and stuff so there's always some kind of exploration/puzzle element going on in addition to the survival/horde mode stuff. Always seemed like the kind of thing that would be cool if you can get into it

The ‘patch’ is essentially a download of the entire game that totally overwrites and clears away the disk install content. It IS the game. If anything having the physical version is actually a drawback since you have to have it in the disk drive probably... Thank G*D I went digital this time around

The last COD I played was 4 blunted as hell in my dorm room and I had a legit Stoned Playing Oblivion moment when the nuke went off and the helicopter crashed. Later that year I watched Robocop stoned on my roommate’s 360 and almost cried I felt so bad for Alex Murphy
