Those Overwatch sets look like utter garbage. Trash design and boring as hell.

I haven't played Overwatch in over a year but I played it a fair bit, and I tend to agree. They're not that great and I honestly can't tell you want maps they're supposed to represent.

The sets are just to bump up part counts so they can jack the price. This is really just a collectible minifigure series without blind bags.

I have three regrets
The first is to be born in Joseon.
I completely disagree re: the sets being bad. The designs are super clean compared to average Lego these days, and other than the Tracer one I think the builds are all pretty appealing. I felt the same way about the Ninjago Movie sets too. The Lego designers are undoubtedly pretty good designing for their target audience but it tends to get pretty chaotic, with all the thought going to the play features since it's...a toy after all. The sets based on external designs don't have to prioritize that stuff to the same extent, and I think visually they come off much better for it.

I wasn't planning on getting any of these but the Hanzo/Genji thing looks so much more simple and elegant than any of those little builds you can buy from the non-movie Ninjago sets that I think I'm gonna get it for sure, and the Gibraltar set is tempting too.

Percival Graves is in every box exactly once. I ducking hate that they do that and didn't think I'd ever get him for her but turns out I got lucky, it was a half empty box, too.

My wife showed some interest in the hobby after trying and bouncing off gunpla, she bought the ship in a bottle and I bought the Saturn V which we’re gonna build this weekend. I also ordered the Classic 1500 piece set off Amazon - I’ve been wanting to do some like architecture focused sorta stuff, do you think that would be a good place to start?

Small, efficient builds are the best and the detail on that face is rad. Is the nose a wrench or a minifig hand stuck in there?

Lots of cool stuff on that twitter.

Lol, I was googling "transformer brick" to make a different joke - but this is better:

Minifig hand. Too short to be a wrench, also I don't think the wrench has ever come in white.

Here is a weird question, would anyone be willing to trade a Nintendo Switch for some NIB LEGO trains?

I am never gonna have the room I need :kiddo:
10219 Maersk Train
10233 Horizon Express
7939 Cargo Train
7938 Passenger Train
60050 Train Station
79111 Lone Ranger Train

It is worth more, but maybe someone has a switch plus games?

Picked up a very dusty but mostly complete Lord of the Rings 79008-1: Pirate Ship Ambush for £45 today. It's missing a few figures and accessories but I just wanted it for my D&D campaign so it will do very nicely.

70 bucks is a decent discount but not for a knockoff. I'm assuming when not on a convention floor it's a good deal cheaper.

Checking BL, 10219 is worth about the same as a switch. So it's a fair trade.

Mantis and Yondu are each in different guardians 2 sets, and are at this time exclusive to those sets.

Ravager attack (Mantis) and whatever the one with the mining ship from the end of the movie is called (Yondu)

So one of my friends from work just posted this on FB. They bought the set for her son and from my guess some scum bag returned it after taking figures and the orange pieces. I’ve seen people steal from bags before, but I never seen them replace bags(2 and 5) plus they were sealed/resealed. The one had a pill bottle top and screws in it. Wtf. Are those lepin pieces? I can see they don’t have the LEGO formed in to the studs. Anyone recognize that style of bag? Just curious what they may have come from.

Those don't look like Lepin pieces. They look like some crappy knock off. Lepin isn't crappy at all. I mean the pieces. Not the company.

Haha a couple of those are K'Nex peices. Someone definitely stole peices out and resealed the bags, it def didn't come from Lego like that.

She could either take it back to the store or give Lego CS a call, they're generally pretty good about sending out replacement bags (or even a whole new set) in situations like those. I'd try returning it first personally.

It depends on the purity and whether or not it has been cut with pill bottles or K'Nex, but in general Lego on eBay runs about $10/lb so $100 for 21lbs is a pretty good deal.
