True Blood is a special beast where the seasons with Alan Ball are lowkey good television despite clearly being p high camp from the get go, and then the seasons after Ball left are still enjoyable b/c the world is already so ridiculous that it's easy to not blink an eye at how loving off the wall and dumb it can get. The last season is the only season I'd say is actually trash. At that point I was only enjoying it for some of the actors, who sadly many of we didn't see enough!! Also the way things end for Bill is loving hilarious lmfao god it's so melodramatic e: but ya those books are trash in an entirely different way lmao and not a good one

I thought it was pretty good, but stopped at some point. Maybe around the Faeries? The King of George part? It was kind of cool and scary and a bit campy - but at some point it had just drifted into soap opera territory or something. If you picture sookie as a 15 year old, she makes a lot more sense as a character. I guess this ties in with GOfT because the lovely decisions the starks make - are like teenager mistakes.
